I hav taken Effexor Hcl 150 mg generic called Venlafaxine HCL ER Capsules 150mg, for years. A new doc wrote for the same medication in tablet form by mistake instead of the caps. Will it work the same for me?

Can I take 2 75mg tablets of Venlafaxine HCL (not ER) at night? What might be the problems with doing this? My prescription says 1 at night, 1 in morning. I had started this prescription 2-3 months ago and stopped because they made me very sleepy durng the day. I'm starting again and can already feel the 1 75mg pill taking effect (I had stopped any antidepressants for 3 months but now determined I had better start again). Thank You.

I tested positive but I am allergic to Fluoxetine Hcl, Diphenhydramine Hcl, Doxycycline, Venlafaxine Hydrochloride, Fluoxetine, Azithromycin and Amoxicillin-Pot Clavulanate. What antibiotic can I take to treat this? Amoxicillin?

I am currently on 75 MG but my doctor is going to raise my dose next visit. I am curious as well to hear your experienced symptoms. To maybe lookout for them myself as Dr. increases my dose.

I am 75. I take 75 mg of atenolol and 40 mg of benazepril hcl every day. I had an echo stress test (speed increases every two minutes) and at 6 minutes my blood pressure starting falling so the test was stopped and the doctor said sometimes with blood pressure medicine that happens. He said my heart was fine. I had a by-pass 12 years ago. So do I have to worry?

Cutting back on Venalafaxine's not easy for sure, I'm cutting back from 150 mg to 75 mg, but going to take at least a couple of months to do it. On the days I cut back I'm more irritable, quick tempered & feel 'troubled', could just be my psych. reaction to knowing I'm cutting back & anticipating withdrawal symptoms. The intention's to stay on 75 mg if it works. Won't risk a relapse by coming completely off meds.

If you can get a hold of your doctor you should ask him to give you 37.5 mg of venlafaxine. They started me on that to see how I'd react to the pill. They have me on 75 now. The withdrawals won't go away in two days, your best bet to be safe for that gig would be taking the lowest dosage possible then lean yourself off them.

Ok, so I did that. Over the course of a month, I cut my dose down by 2/3rds (from 225 mg to 75 mg). He tried to cut me down to 37.5 mg after that, but the withdrawal symptoms caused a severe anxiety attack with *brand new* and frightening anxiety symptoms (yay!), so the dose right now is stable at 75 mg. When I see him next week, we will discuss lowering it some more.

30 p.m. Took 1/2 dose (4 mg) at 8:30 a.m. yesterday. Threw it up. Did not take any since. Messed me up. Not looking to get on anything again, just thought it would take the sluggishness away and as their ad says, make me "normal" again. Threw the oxy's away. Ended up in the ER this a.m. because of heart palpatations. They think it's anxiety from coming off oxys. Not doing the suboxone thing. Gave them to ER doctor. He said I had a bad reaction to it.

I was recently put on 150mg of Venlafaxine once daily in combination with 1mg Lorazepam as needed. I am responding quickly to the Venlafaxine ER and have only had a few bumps throughout the day that required half of the 1mg Lorazepam. My problem is sleeping? I'm so worried about the addictive qualities of Lorazepam that I am hesitant to take it to help me sleep.
