Avatar n tn I hav taken Effexor Hcl 150 mg generic called Venlafaxine HCL ER Capsules 150mg, for years. A new doc wrote for the same medication in tablet form by mistake instead of the caps. Will it work the same for me?
Avatar n tn I tested positive but I am allergic to Fluoxetine Hcl, Diphenhydramine Hcl, Doxycycline, Venlafaxine Hydrochloride, Fluoxetine, Azithromycin and Amoxicillin-Pot Clavulanate. What antibiotic can I take to treat this? Amoxicillin?
Avatar m tn I was recently put on 150mg of Venlafaxine once daily in combination with 1mg Lorazepam as needed. I am responding quickly to the Venlafaxine ER and have only had a few bumps throughout the day that required half of the 1mg Lorazepam. My problem is sleeping? I'm so worried about the addictive qualities of Lorazepam that I am hesitant to take it to help me sleep. Before I was prescribed either of these meds I was using Melatonin in combo with Nyquil (about 4 tablespoons) to sleep.

Avatar f tn They swapped my medications, from Venlafaxine HCL to Citalopram HBR thinking the side effect was causing my blood pressure to go up, then sent me home. I not only had withdrawals but the new medicine caused my Fibromyalgia to flair up significantly. Within one month I went to my heart doctor begging for Nortriptyline (something I used previously for Fibromyalgia) they prescribed it and it helped 50% but still my anxiety was bad, and other symptoms were present.
Avatar n tn Can I take 2 75mg tablets of Venlafaxine HCL (not ER) at night? What might be the problems with doing this? My prescription says 1 at night, 1 in morning. I had started this prescription 2-3 months ago and stopped because they made me very sleepy durng the day. I'm starting again and can already feel the 1 75mg pill taking effect (I had stopped any antidepressants for 3 months but now determined I had better start again). Thank You.

I looked it up and it looks like a "human" drug also, but am wondering if I am able to take this. I do hae a little chronic bronchitis, but not full blown copd i don't think. What do you think? Could I take this. Should I add to water or put under my tongue,.
Avatar n tn Hi, I switched from Effexor XR to Venlafaxine ER (extended release) - this is available in the generic form. I live in switzerland though so maybe it isn't available in the UK yet as this was only available to me at the beginning of 2009 when the patent was up. I had the same problems with both Effexor and Venlafaxine so my psychiatrist added Wellbutrin extended release and this eased the symptoms significantly as I was also feeling depressed and suicidal.
1270834 tn?1270769758 You are not the only one. I also take venlafaxine ER 150 ml, and have the little white balls. We are losing a lot , if not all, of our medication. I switched to the tablets and pooped out the whole pill. Now I cut it in half and scrape the coating of with a knife, Real drag...need help bad.
Avatar f tn til Monday unless I end up in ER again cuz Im still not feeling well. Still feeling weak, etc. When I went to ER a few days ago he mentioned it could still be my thyroid but I guess they didnt check it becuz he just said everything came back ok so Im assuming they just did regular blood work. If he thought it was thyroid related I would have thought they would have checked it! I may end up going in to a different ER and get a second opinion and see what they will do.
Avatar n tn Apple cider vinegar is a way to cleanse the body and balance acid and alkaline, but it doesn't increase stomach acid on a permanent basis. Betaine HCL is used for gallstones, not for stomach acidity, since it doesn't do that either. The reason is that neither stays in the stomach, so it can't permanently alter the acid/alkaline balance. The caution about HCL is more about using pure HCL food grade.
Avatar f tn The name is venlafaxine hcl 37.5 mg tablets, my doctor gave me a low does because i did not want any thing that strong, because i take enough pills that make me sleepy. Does any one know about these pills; if so pleases let me know if you ever taken them before .
Avatar m tn was doing some reading and it seems the dol hcl is like the hydrocodone and the regular dol is like ultram--- however the ultram er is totally different than the regular ultram??? anyone know the diff on these nightmares??

225237 tn?1333138999 Ok I have been on metformin hcl ER 500 mg once at night. It has been almost two weeks since I started the medication.....for the past couple of days I noticed something in my bowel movement.....its in my morning stool it looks kinda orangish an kinda like a small carrot that has white stuff in the middle. I know this is totally disgusting but I need some advice! Could it be the metformin being released in my stool?? If so, does that mean I'm not getting my medication like I should??
1378325 tn?1285346625 Hi, I get my prescriptions through Express Scripts and they recently contacted my doctor about a generic for Effexor ER called Venlafaxine. The problem is, I now take the extended release Effexor and the supposed generic for this med is $70 more than the brand name Effexor ER. How could a generic subsitute be more expensive than the brand name, just doesn't make any sense to me. If I chose to take the non-extended release generic Venlafaxine, it would be $80 cheaper than the Effexor ER.
Avatar f tn It may take 6 to 8 weeks or longer for you to feel the full benefit of this medication. Continue to take venlafaxine even if you feel well. Do not stop taking venlafaxine without talking to your doctor. Your doctor will probably decrease your dose gradually.
Avatar f tn Its an antibiotic called clindamycin HCl for bacterial vaginosis. Its like every month since July I have to take a dose of clindamycin HCl twice a day for seven days... Then august 27th, ugh I still have it!! They're making me take the same ****. Sorry im just a lil bit disappointed nor upset.
Avatar n tn At first they thought it was streph and gave me an antibiotic. Due to high fever, i went to er , they did a test for herpes and called me and said I have it. They prescribed. valacyclovir hcl. I just started taking it today. I read that this can be common with people who have aids. I have not had unprotected sex deliberately but condom broke. I had a steady girlfriend but broke up one. I am scared to death that I have aids.
Avatar f tn d with Acute Bronchitis, a bacterial infection, Bradycardia, and possibly Gout (from two separate ER visits). I've been seen by a Rheumatologist, Neurologist, Ophthalmologist, a Sleep Study Specialist, an Acupuncturist, and a GP. I do not smoke, drink, or do recreational drugs. I have not idea what to do next. I've done a ton of online research and I'm trying to function as my own advocate. [I'm also currently appealing the decision to stop my insurance coverage.
