I have been taking 37 twice a day venlafaxine for a year now and initially felt great however 4 months ago I have been slowly feeling the same as I did before I started taking venlafaxine. I have frequent dizzy spells and get upset every day do I need to increase my dose?

I live in the UK so all prescriptions cost the same standard amount. The GP writes the drug name (ie Venlafaxine) on the prescription but the pharmacy can then dispense any brand name, you can't ask for a certain brand or generic. I have always been given Effexor in the past because it was still under patent. I thought Viepax must be fairly new as I couldn't find much info about it. I have not taken Venlafaxine continuously for long enough for it to become less effective.

My husband just started taking a new medication about a year ago called Venlafaxine. When we have intercourse, there is nothing but water like substance that comes out. I know this cannot be good. With all the medications he is on we have no idea what to do. I do not want to go through a second round of treatment with fertility if he still has this problem the cost is just to high ($2300.00 per month).

I feel really well. All my anxieties and panics have gone, along with the depression. I know not everybody gets the same benefit as me from Effexor. I also do not know if there is much difference in the original, and the generic form. I may have felt just as well on the generic.

Hi, I get my prescriptions through Express Scripts and they recently contacted my doctor about a generic for Effexor ER called Venlafaxine. The problem is, I now take the extended release Effexor and the supposed generic for this med is $70 more than the brand name Effexor ER. How could a generic subsitute be more expensive than the brand name, just doesn't make any sense to me. If I chose to take the non-extended release generic Venlafaxine, it would be $80 cheaper than the Effexor ER.

It may take 6 to 8 weeks or longer for you to feel the full benefit of this medication. Continue to take venlafaxine even if you feel well. Do not stop taking venlafaxine without talking to your doctor. Your doctor will probably decrease your dose gradually.

Anyone use this brand? Since its only $10 at walmart, I wonder about accuracy. Test strips are more affordable too than the others..

I take the Similac /w DHA. They used to sell them at Walmart now I can only find them at Walgreens. They are about $12.00 after you take the coupon out of the box, lol.

She tells me that the lowest dose of XL is 75mg. She has put me on 37.5mg daily Venlafaxine. I tried this as 150mg dose, and it was not the same at all as Effexor. Is there any alternative. I know Venlafaxine, is supposed to be the same as Effexor, but I don't think it is - at least my body said it was different!! I am now wondering what the next step is for me. So I'm currently taking 75mg venlafaxine and 15mg mirtazapine the mirtazapine is great doing its job for the night time anxiety it's more than enough to calm me and help me sleep the night but my concern is the venlafaxine it's causing me stomach upset and feelings of low mood iv been taking this combo since beginning of December whilst some what it has levelled me out to the state I was currently in I don't feel as tho the venlafaxine is helping anymore as Iv been on it before a

If you already have a current rx, Walmart has extremely low cost prescriptions for many common medications. I think they charge only 4 dollars, something like that.

The best meter is the one they use at the hospital I forget the brand/modle number. Im sure they can tell you. Cost about $5,000 and $5.00 a test strip. Walmart has meters for $14.99 and $26 for 100 test strips. ALL meters sold to the public have to be %20 accurate 90% of the time. My Best meter is the one the insurance will cover the cost of the test strips.

I have no direct experience with the medications you mention, but can say my insurance requires (or I pay a big cost penalty) me to use generic drugs. These are, however, US distributed. I believe many people buy drugs from Canada to save money, but I have my doubts about the quality of anything that can be ordered over the Internet without a prescription...assuming a prescription is required in the US.
