I took it many years ago as well... As msnova74 said, just like cymbalta, effexor xr is an SNRI and chemically this may not work for you. I would ask your doctor this - "If I had such bad luck with Cymbalta, why would you like to try another SNRI drug?" Personally I found no luck with any "antidepressants" and have to take a combination of Adderall and Klonopin.

Every time I try a medication that has a reuptake effect on norepeneprhine I get this mild burning sensation on the left side of my chest. i am on adderall xr and zoloft 50mg and it is makin me very sick.i am starving every 2 hrs my moods have me very angry..i have diarea and nasea....i have just switched from celea and adderall to the zoloft...what can i take for depression with my adderall that wnt make me sick?

ve been on since January and I stopped it 3-4weeks ago and there is still some tenderness. But in addition I was put on adderall about 1-1.5 months before that. Is it possible that the culprit is really the amphetamine and not the propecia ?? Thanks for your help.

She tells me that the lowest dose of XL is 75mg. She has put me on 37.5mg daily Venlafaxine. I tried this as 150mg dose, and it was not the same at all as Effexor. Is there any alternative. I know Venlafaxine, is supposed to be the same as Effexor, but I don't think it is - at least my body said it was different!! I am now wondering what the next step is for me. What is the difference between Effexor XL and Venlafaxine. How do I reduce from 37.5mg Venlafaxine?

I've been prescribed adderall for the past 4 years, I currently take 75mg per day. A couple months ago my Dr. started me on strattera in conjunction with my adderall. I have not noticed any improvement in my ability to concentrate or remain organized since starting the strattera, however my anxiety is gone and I am finally happy. A couple weeks ago my Dr. left and I was given a "temp" to take her place.

In general, the newer antidepressants (SSRI and SNRI) do not prolong QT interval so much. A possible exception is citalopram (and escitalopram). As far as I know, paroxetine and vortioxetine are fairly safe. How long is your QT interval?

) so lets say your doc prescribed you 150Mgs of Venlafaxine a day. Then you could break that tab in half and take one in morning and one around 4:00pm. Thus effectivly keeping a steady stream of the medication in your body. I just say Effexor XR is better because it does that for you and you need not worry about it. You also need to check if Generic Effexor XR is avalible in your area of the world.

t really stopped and my psychiatrist told me it might not go away, and that she wanted to change me to Venlafaxine. Honestly, my first reaction was OH NO, NOT AGAIN. Not another new medication. She told me diarrhea is keeping me from gaining weight and might damage my colon if it goes on.
