Avatar n tn See a doctor if really worried. It'll stop your anxiety & "cure." If the bump is flesh colored and over a vein, it can be just a varicose vein (especially if you have varicose veins on other places on your body). Age is not a factor, from teens to older adults can get varicose veins on the penis or scrotum (and other places). These type of varicose veins can range in size with most the size of a BB or smaller (or bigger). Inspect it closely.
Avatar f tn It is very difficult to tell if your symptoms of headache are related to varicose veins without examination. Some association of varicose veins and migraine has been worked out. I would suggest you to try alternate therapy like acupressure, yoga and meditation and breathing exercises. Take care!
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are gnarled, enlarged veins. Any vein may become varicose, but the veins most commonly affected are those in your legs and feet. That's because standing and walking upright increases the pressure in the veins of your lower body. Sometimes varicose veins lead to more-serious problems. Varicose veins may also signal a higher risk of other circulatory problems. Treatment may involve self-care measures or procedures by your doctor to close or remove veins.
Avatar f tn Okay so the other night my leg started throbbing :( and it hurts to move my ankle and bend my leg. It hurts to stand or straighten.. I did some looking online and I'm pretty sure I have a varicose vein :( I don't know what to do.. Should I go to an urgent care or ER or hold it off tilmy appointment Monday? What can I do to relieve the pain? Have anyone had one before? Is this a varicose vein? Or you think something else..? Help!
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
Avatar f tn I'm almost 37 weeks and my fiance was trying to give me the perineam massage (supposed to help with not tearing during labor) and we noticed my veins down there are much much darker.. could they just be varicose veins? I have a doctor's appointment today, but I wanted to see if any other moms to be had this happen..
Avatar n tn and im getting very worried about these varicose veins poping up on my leg does this make any sence to anyone reading this. any advice from a doctor would be much apreachieted.
Avatar f tn I had a doppler ultrasound today. Everything is fine with my leg apart from the varicose veins. The doctor said I should not worry about the discoloration. It can go away if he removes the varicose veins, but it can stay too.
Avatar n tn If your varicose veins are mild and are not a symptom of a more serious condition, your doctor may agree to prescribe a low-dose estrogen pill. In this case it's up to you to decide what your priorities are. You may feel that the advantages of taking the pill outweigh the risk of varicose veins. That said I doubt if taking the pill would stop the problem! Ask the doctor for his/her opinion.
Avatar f tn t already done so, I would make an appointment to see your GP, it may not be serious, but then again, it could be a circulation issue that needs to be taken care of.

484932 tn?1226513291 Did you have the varicose veins before tx or only after you started tx? Spider angioma is said to be related to a liver gone bad, so yes that is from HepC. I suggest you ask your doctor and also check out spider nevi. The tenderness around your waist, seems to be in the area of your kidneys and could be a sx of the tx meds.
Avatar m tn Bilberry best known for supporting healthy vision, it can also be useful for varicose veins. It’s similar to grape seed extract. Use 24 to 320 mg a day. Bromelain, an enzyme from pineapple, can help prevent the hard lumpy skin that develops around varicose veins. Take 500 to 750 mg two or three times a day. Butcher’s Broom is also another supplement that’s helpful. It works by constricting your blood vessels and improving your overall blood flow.
Avatar n tn Hi, i have a varicose vein in my left testicle. It is a bump with a little mini nodule on it. My doctor said it was ok and would go away over time, but i have had it for several months and its still there. Are there any things i can do at home to help it go away? like ice or something?
11587059 tn?1427628263 The only meds I take every day are zofran, keflex for my kidneys, and Phenergan suppositories. And outside of pregnancy no health problems. Due to pregnancy problems with my heart and my kidneys are no longer functioning properly... maybe those two things together are the reasons. I'll definitely have to bring it up to my doctor. I hope it's just varicose veins. I don't need anymore problems!
Avatar n tn I was just checking to see if it's normal to have a large visible vein on your penis. It's visble when not erect but very noticable when aroused. Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn I think I watch the situation for a while before going to see the doctor. If these are varicose veins, what treatment they need? Can they resolve due time with no other treatment than just gentle care? And the original question again, if these are just normal veins (I actually almost hope they're not..) is it possible to make them smaller by not putting penis under so much stress?
Avatar f tn Hello, Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged and twisted. Varicose veins are common in the superficial veins of the legs, which are subject to high pressure when standing. Besides cosmetic problems, varicose veins are often painful, especially when standing or walking. They are often diagnosed based simply on the appearance of the veins.Confirmatory tests are Doppler ultrasound and angiogram. You can get it confirmed from a vascular surgeon and after getting these tests done.
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am wondering why there isn't a varicose veins forum!? Where else might I post my varicose veins concerns? I posted in the Deep Vein Thrombosis forum but noticed it is rarely used. I'm not certain but isn't DVT a result of varicose veins? And if varicose veins are more common, with DVT being a side affect, then Why not change that forum to Varicose Veins? Regardless shouldn't there be a forum for varicose veins?
Avatar f tn Sitting for prolonged periods of time also contribute to varicose veins. You are a young man and this should be a priority for your health. Eating a healthy diet and regular exercise if cleared to do so by your doctor could greatly change this situation as well as other health issues that are linked to our weight. Your doctor may have you elevate your legs more, wear compression stockings or perform a procedure on the veins.
Avatar n tn Can varicose veins on the tongue lead to cancer and what can be done to remove the varicose vein?
Avatar f tn What he did find was that I have several very thick, varicose veins on my uterus. I will learn more when I see him in a couple of weeks. I had no idea that you could have varicose veins here!
