Avatar f tn I am now 33 weeks pregnant and getting more and more scared of the delivery as I have bad varicose veins on my right labia. I feel them when I blow my nose and I can't imagine pushing the baby out feeling the veins getting bigger as I push!!!! My GP recommended a C section, which I would love but it's not up to her. The obstetrician will decide. How likely is it for the veins to burst while delivering? What about episiotomy? How can I make sure I can have a C section?
Avatar n tn As the condition worsens, and the veins get larger, they become more obvious. Grade 2 varicose veins can be seen bulging through the mucosa of the vulva of vagina. You should get it examined from a gynecologist to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn I still have varicosities on the otherwise smoothe inner surface of my vulva near the vestibule. Not painful or itchy, but I simply can't find an online explanation that matches my changes. I've had this reddish purple "texturing" on the pink, moist parts of the labia minora for about 7 months now, and it has probably gotten more pronounced over that time period. My spouse and I are between health insurance coverage so I canceled my annual PAP & pelvic exam.
Avatar m tn You said "a vein popped out on my vagina." I was taking this to mean "in" the vagina (since by definition, all of the vagina is "in" -- the external parts in that locale are the labia and the vulva). But if you meant "on the vulva" (like, you can see it just by looking and don't have to sit with a pocket mirror looking up and in), it occurred to me that men get something called a varicocele, which is a varicose vein in their scrotum.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with vulva varicose veins I cannot cope with this pain any longer and only 26 weeks gone anyone else going through this I am in tears nearly every day and have a five year old to look after and I'm alone
554321 tn?1215470569 As your baby grows, pressure from your uterus slows blood flow in your lower body, with the potential to distend veins anywhere below the waist, including your groin. Like varicose veins on your legs, varicosities in your vulva can cause pressure and throbbing. This will resolv eafter the delivery. ref:http://www.melodywarnick.com/clips/your_belowthebelt_guide_to_pre.
Avatar m tn If they start enlarging (less likely) get an evaluation for varicose veins penis. The varicose vein on the penis does not require any treatment. It may bruise during sexual intercourse and thus wearing of a condom is highly recommended. Also use of lubricants is recommended during masturbation or during sexual intercourse to avoid bruising the vein. No other treatment is required. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn They’re easy to see because they’re superficial veins close to the surface of your skin and typically occur on show up in your legs, feet, ankles and hands. While bulging veins are usually harmless, they can be a sign of a more serious problem like a blood clot." https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/22877-bulging-veins It may actually still be varicose veins which is common in 1 in 3 adults. For most people, a bulging vein is truly harmless. Unsightly, perhaps.
Avatar n tn If the bump is flesh colored and over a vein, it can be just a varicose vein (especially if you have varicose veins on other places on your body). Age is not a factor, from teens to older adults can get varicose veins on the penis or scrotum (and other places). These type of varicose veins can range in size with most the size of a BB or smaller (or bigger). Inspect it closely. If it seems to follow or be "on top" of a vein, this is probably what you have.
229857 tn?1319029907 I am 36 weeks and have the same thing behind my knee, dr told me its just another joy of pregnancy. Defiantly mention it but as from what my dr said there is nothing you can do and its not "bad". she told me it will go away after the birth.
Avatar f tn //www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/varicose-veins/symptoms-causes/syc-20350643. Basically, weak or damaged valves lead to varicose veins. Being obese is a risk factor and losing weight would likely help a multitude of things in your life. That's never easy but something that would be very beneficial to work on. Sitting for prolonged periods of time also contribute to varicose veins. You are a young man and this should be a priority for your health.
1032669 tn?1252456404 Yeah, I'm one of the lucky ones with varicose veins too :-( I have a few on my legs that look and feel like raised bruises, and my labia is swollen too. My obgyn said it's not uncommon and that, unfortunately, it will just continue to get worse until delivery...as the weight of your uterus (and baby) increases and puts more pressure on the veins. Oh well, it's all worth it for a healthy baby!
Avatar m tn Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged and tortuous. The term commonly refers to the veins on the leg, although varicose veins can occur elsewhere.
Avatar n tn Can varicose veins on the tongue lead to cancer and what can be done to remove the varicose vein?
Avatar m tn Hi I'm a 34 YO guy who has been experiencing a bit of discomfort from Veins varicose on my feet. For the context, I'm 1.84 cm tall, 72 kg and in reasonably good shape. Since I was young I've always had the veins on my feet a bit pronounced (like bigger than the average), as the time went by tho these veins have grown and now I'm starting feeling a bit of discomfort (not pain but like the feeling of slightly tingling).
Avatar n tn This year in May I stopped taking the birth control pills and a couple months later I noticed on my legs bulging varicose veins. The onset seemed to be quite sudden. Could the fact that I stopped taking the birth control pills caused the sudden onset of the varicose veins?
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am wondering why there isn't a varicose veins forum!? Where else might I post my varicose veins concerns? I posted in the Deep Vein Thrombosis forum but noticed it is rarely used. I'm not certain but isn't DVT a result of varicose veins? And if varicose veins are more common, with DVT being a side affect, then Why not change that forum to Varicose Veins? Regardless shouldn't there be a forum for varicose veins?
Avatar f tn has been checking on and I was kinda complaining that it hurt and he said that some women get them in the vulva, so I'm sure its normal that we have increased blood flow "down there" as well or some women wouldn't get vericose veins there. I too have really noticable veins in my breasts, belly and feet. My Dr. says it is normal - although it is kinda weird looking sometimes. ooohhh - i just noticed that this is in the multiples forum.
Avatar n tn i always have pain only on the right side of my prostrate and the right leg and lower right side of my back and hip. the varicose veins are on the right side of my penis to and my right leg behind my nee. i am starting to wonder if my whole problem might be some kind of stricture some were in my pelvis on the right side. and im getting very worried about these varicose veins poping up on my leg does this make any sence to anyone reading this.
1580703 tn?1651904887 Varicose veins occur when the valves do not function properly, allowing blood to remain in the vein. This usually occurs in the veins of the legs but it may occur elsewhere. Indeed, treatment may be invasive (surgical) or noninvasive which include sclerotherapy, laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation and a lot more. However, it is best that you confirm the diagnosis with your physician and discuss the best option for you.
Avatar n tn Hello, The varicose vein on the penis does not require any treatment. It may bruise during sexual intercourse and thus wearing of a condom is highly recommended. Also use of lubricants is recommended during masturbation or during sexual intercourse to avoid bruising the vein. No other treatment is required. In fact most of the treatment like laser treatment will cause scarring, infection, nerve and vascular damage. So in my opinion, you should leave them as such. Hope it helps.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are gnarled, enlarged veins. Any vein may become varicose, but the veins most commonly affected are those in your legs and feet. That's because standing and walking upright increases the pressure in the veins of your lower body. Sometimes varicose veins lead to more-serious problems. Varicose veins may also signal a higher risk of other circulatory problems. Treatment may involve self-care measures or procedures by your doctor to close or remove veins.
Avatar m tn I had an extremely serious case of varicose veins. On the inner sie of each ankle was a sack of blackish stagnant blood, a horror to look at. The skin was thinning and close to rupturing. At some point I adding liquid trace minerals to my drinking water, with no purpose in mind other than adding to my general health. I put one tablespoon in each gallon of filtered water. I also added 16 drops of BioSil.
Avatar n tn Note that when you have laser treatment it destroys the veins so the blood will go to other veins and the problem will most likely return.
Avatar f tn Lately I’ve notice veins on my inner calf bulging out where I can feel them on my skin and they somewhat twist... as well as being able to feel my femoral vein running down my inner thigh to my knee cap, which I’m not sure if it’s normal to be able to feel that vein on the skin or not. But I’ve been having inner thigh pain and calf pain when I walk. Is this a serious issue or just common with varicose veins? I’m thinking about seeing my PC doc.
