Avatar f tn Have you tried posting in the 18-34 pregnancy forum, maybe someone there will be able to help since they have a broader number of women in that forum. I had no idea that varicose veins could get so bad nor that they could be in the nether regions. Pretty much that is what a hemeroid is so, I guess it would make sense that you could get one there too. Be sure to discuss with your OB, I'm sure things will work out so that the best option is chosen for both you and baby.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with vulva varicose veins I cannot cope with this pain any longer and only 26 weeks gone anyone else going through this I am in tears nearly every day and have a five year old to look after and I'm alone
Avatar f tn Its normal for your vaginal area to get swollen down there during the end of pregnancy. It could have been caused by irritation from the salt in the water.
1907180 tn?1329450777 The unfortunate reality is that most pregnant women will have some degree of failure in their leg veins at least during the pregnancy. This is due to multiple factors that all produce challenges. The volume of circulating blood increases substantially. Hormones that allow the uterus to stretch and expand also allow leg veins to do the same, making the valves in these vessels incompetent.
Avatar f tn The doctor said that it's normal during pregnancy. It isn't varicose veins, it's just more blood flowing down there.
1840402 tn?1355432565 It sure sounds like a varicose vein to me. Unfortunately those are super common during pregnancy. As long as your not feeling pain in your leg I wouldn't worry about it :) You could always call your doctors office just to be 100% Try not to worry, I got them too during my 1st pregnancy.
Avatar f tn This is my fourth pregnancy I will have to term. I know that every pregnancy is different. I know all about hemorrhoids, varicose veins in the legs as well as spider veins. I didn't realize until this pregnancy that u can get vericose veins in ur vaginal area. I was wonder if other mom have had this or have this now.
Avatar f tn Does any one else experience uncomfortable sex during pregnancy? I try to enjoy but it hurts me. Im 27 weeks pregnant.
1936698 tn?1333915193 it can also be accompanied by swelling form the increased blood flow or vericose veins... all common during pregnancy...
Avatar f tn Anyone else having trouble with them? They run in my family and I got them for the first time halfway through my first pregnancy and now in my second pregnancy they are "flared" up. I also started back at work do I'm on my feet a lot. I wear compression socks which help but is there anything else I can do to relieve the pain?
Avatar n tn Varicose veins during pregnancy aren't permanent, but some may linger after pregnancy. The best way to keep them from becoming permanent is to exercise, such as walking and stretching. The key is not to become stagnant, sit or lay around, causing a lack of circulation. The best to you and your pregnancy!
Avatar f tn I am lucky that so far I don't have any varicose veins in my legs or anything. I also don't have any bloating or water issues.... ...but what I do notice is that on my belly and breast my veins are much more noticeable. In my hands and feet, my veins are EVEN MORE noticeable and bulge out. (in a normal way though - just obvious I have more blood running through my veins.
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel. I thought I had a hernia until I had an ultra sound done found out I was actually 17 weeks pregnant. I'm now almost 30 weeks and they have progressed. down into my left labia. It is very painful and I have found that standing or work on my feet for more than an hour or more gets unbearable. I am told by my doctor They will disappear after birth but I am also worried I won't be able to have a vbac. I will be.
Avatar m tn You said "a vein popped out on my vagina." I was taking this to mean "in" the vagina (since by definition, all of the vagina is "in" -- the external parts in that locale are the labia and the vulva). But if you meant "on the vulva" (like, you can see it just by looking and don't have to sit with a pocket mirror looking up and in), it occurred to me that men get something called a varicocele, which is a varicose vein in their scrotum.
Avatar f tn Kinda tmi but I have vulva varicose veins . I don't know how common they are but it makes sex really painful for me I feel bad for my partner because I don't even have the energy to please him other ways at the moment. But he's understanding so it makes me feel slightly less bad but in the last three months we have only had sex twice.
Avatar f tn No, they are more of a cosmetic issue, but then to pop up during pregnancy because our bodies are pumping extra blood through our system.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are painful, I would mention it to your doc as they will be able to tell the difference between them and blood clots, I'm nlt sure that blood clots are usually visible, but you are def better to get them checked out. There are treatments for varicose veins in injection form which really hell, but I'm not sure if that could be done while you are pregmant. Your doc will be able to advise best.
Avatar n tn I used them to try to cut back on swelling during my first pregnancy and they helped with that. I've heard they are great for varicose veins, but can't say from personal experience. I've seen them at CVS, I'm pretty sure.
202436 tn?1326474333 I did have pronounced veins during my pregnancy. When I showered I could feel the ridges from the veins down there. Between increased blood volume and the pressure of the baby I'm not surprised it happens. Good news is that things go back to normal after childbirth. Can't remember how long it took but I was glad to get rid of the bulges.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know if varicose veins will diminish after pregnancy especially in genitals?
10678677 tn?1413254266 But my OB said that he has never seen a varicose vein on the vulva not go away after pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Whenever you start feeling uncomfortable hun. I was going to leave my job at 30 weeks before they actually closed the company. I've had a pretty crappy pregnancy though. (Vulva varicose veins, extreme morning sickness, low blood sugar, etc) I know I wouldn't have been able to do my job right with everything that I've been going through.
