The bottom line is that the drugs make them money.
Avatar m tn Because of unauthorised doctors most of the boys take it as any complicated disease. There is no reality in this. Human body has veins under the skin all over the body. These veins are clearly shown at the back of the hand also. Clearly showing of veins on penis is not any disease and it does not need any treatment. If the veins on scrotum are very obvious than it could be a disease called Varicose which can cause infertility.
Avatar n tn of a vein, this is probably what you have. There is usually little to no pain associated with these type of varicose veins (scrotum varicose veins can cause pain). No real medical treatment for it and not harmful to you or your partners. See a doctor, though. You'll feel better and get better, regardless. Take care.
Avatar m tn A minimally invasive radiological procedure called embolization can, in most cases, correct the problem. Correcting varicose veins in scrotum boosts sperm count, motility. Go here : http://www.bio-medicine.org/medicine-news-1/Simple-Procedure-Improves-Male-Fertility-24302-1/ You can do exercises but not weights. Discuss the treatment modalities near a surgeon as it varies from case to case.

Avatar f tn Varicose veins in or near the penis is rather rare. The varicose veins themselves are formed mainly in the legs, mostly because the valves in the veins do not function properly. Are you sure it is varicose veins? You may want to read up a bit more about these to ensure your husband has varicose veins - here's a comprehensive resource on vv - http://www.legpain.guide/g/52/ Hope this helps, all the best!
Avatar m tn 22 year old male non-smoker and in good shape. For over a year now my scrotum has been red and usually moist/sweaty even in cold climates. Recently the problems got much worse when all the veins on my scrotum became permanently red or purple. Not just the one's shown in this picture, but all over my scrotum are red veins. The skin on my scrotum has also changed dramatically.
1634499 tn?1300193997 After surgery the pain in the scrotum is relieved a bit, and there is less vericose veins in my left scrotum now. But the dragging heaviness in scrotal is not totally gone, cos i can touch there are still some dilated veins inside especially underneath my left testis. I'm trying to live with the pain now. For back pain, I try to eat more fruits and vegetable to have regular motion passing and it really help to relieve a back pain.
Avatar n tn He should also be checked for a varicocele, which is like a varicose vein in the scrotum. Some men who have these and get them repaired find that their fertility is restored, since they heat the scrotum too much for sperm health.
Avatar n tn http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23068876/ “Normally, you cannot see or feel the veins in the spermatic cord that carry the blood from the testes. If you have a varicocele, the veins become bigger (they enlarge or dilate) and this makes them more prominent. It is similar to varicose veins of the legs. The size of a varicocele can vary. A large varicocele is sometimes said to look and feel like 'a bag of worms' in the scrotum.” I would suggest you see a surgeon at the earliest.
Avatar m tn I just thought I'd comment, as a woman. Any woman that says ANYTHING about your penis being not up to par is a WASTE of your time. Don't let anyone think you are less than perfect for ANY reason. Women have to embrace the differences in men just as much as men have to embrace the differences in women. We all look different-- some have stretch marks, different looking vaginas and labia, but that really doesn't matter unless you make it your priority.
155701 tn?1230047101 When I lean against something (like the bathroom vanity), it feels like a big bruise. These are not spider veins or varicose. They look like normal veins except that they're very noticable and only on the upper region of my right thigh. I wouldn't be worried about them except for the fact that they feel like a bruise. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn But as your specialist has suspected, it could also be a varicocele. Varicose veins of the testis are referred to as a varicocele. It is the dilatation of the pampiniform venous plexus and the internal spermatic vein. It is known to cause poor sperm production and hence infertility. Based on the size it is classified as small, moderate and large. It is diagnosed with a clinical examination and confirmed by a Doppler ultrasonography.
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
Avatar m tn Having both testes reside in the same side of your scrotum is quite uncommon on a natural basis. If you had surgery on your testis, the operating urologist may have placed both on one side, although, again, this is not common practice. The varicocele may figure into your problem. You will need to seek the assistance of a urologist to get evaluated for your infertility and to help figure out the cause and possible treatment. Azoospermia will not correct itself. 1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am wondering why there isn't a varicose veins forum!? Where else might I post my varicose veins concerns? I posted in the Deep Vein Thrombosis forum but noticed it is rarely used. I'm not certain but isn't DVT a result of varicose veins? And if varicose veins are more common, with DVT being a side affect, then Why not change that forum to Varicose Veins? Regardless shouldn't there be a forum for varicose veins?
Avatar m tn The thing was I was feeling the tingling in both testicles and i still kind of feel a sensation that is like I have a worms in my scrotum or a burning like sensation from time to time. It's not like before and most days I'm fine. Erections are fine, ejaculations are fine, urination is fine. The tingling went from being constant to feeling mostly when I lay down or sit down. Also one thing to point out. Before when I would tighten up my sphincter muscle and release.
Avatar n tn If you already have varicose veins you may have some doubts about taking birth control pills. If your varicose veins are mild and are not a symptom of a more serious condition, your doctor may agree to prescribe a low-dose estrogen pill. In this case it's up to you to decide what your priorities are. You may feel that the advantages of taking the pill outweigh the risk of varicose veins. That said I doubt if taking the pill would stop the problem! Ask the doctor for his/her opinion.
Avatar m tn Me and my girlfriend have discussed having children in the future and I am very excited for when this time comes but I do have a bunch of varicous veins on the left side of my testicar/scrotum area and I have read online a lot that varicous veins down there can cause infertility - is this true? It's making me panic a lot that I won't be able to have children of my own in the future. Any information and/or advice would be hugely appreciated.
Avatar n tn Hi, Needless to remind you that you need to talk to your doctor, a cardiologist. If the varicose vein is in the legs, I understand that laser treatment is possible. Please google for ' laser treatment for varicose veins ' for more details.
Avatar n tn Pain in the foot may be due to diabetes, nerve root compression, varicose veins etc.You should seek an expert opinion to find out the cause.Unless a physical examination is done it is difficult to comment upon.
1580703 tn?1651904887 If you have varicose veins in your legs can you also have them in your head or lungs? what is the best treatment? laser, radio, surgery?
2020005 tn?1628125976 Hey there, i just want to say dnp47 that was a wonderful post! thank you! I agree, I would show it to the doctor. At least just so they are updated on whats going on with your body. I also have heard, if it doesn't go away after the baby, that apple cider vinegar (with the mother in it) can be applied to the area to help varicose veins. I haven't had any to see if it works yet on myself but if you are curious to try its an idea to look up and try.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are gnarled, enlarged veins. Any vein may become varicose, but the veins most commonly affected are those in your legs and feet. That's because standing and walking upright increases the pressure in the veins of your lower body. Sometimes varicose veins lead to more-serious problems. Varicose veins may also signal a higher risk of other circulatory problems. Treatment may involve self-care measures or procedures by your doctor to close or remove veins.
Avatar n tn This causes a dull aching sensation in the testicle also called ‘blue balls’. In your case this also probably results in venous engorgement resulting in varicose vein like situation. This is harmless and usually the pain disappears within a few hours. Some relieve the pain/discomfort through masturbation. However you can consult an urologist or a vascular doctor once. Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
