Avatar m tn I am a male of 36 years and I have noticed my veins in my hands bulge a lot when my hands are down and the veins disappear when I raise my hands. It is more noticeable in summer than winter. Everybody keeps telling me its normal but I know something is wrong.
Avatar m tn well i went to the doctor, he didnt think anything was wrong, but i think otherwise. also i have noticed when laying on my side the veins in my forehead start bulging out. adding that on to the bulging heavy veins in my hands, arms, feet, and legs. yeah, that can't be normal. to me it does sound like a valve problem like dr sharma said. any other thoughts?
Avatar n tn Please go to the doctor to be checked out. Over Christmas my inner thighs were extremely painful and I couldn't bear the pain when I touched my legs. It was an infection - Cellulitis and a course of antibiotis sorted it out. You can get the infection through cuts and punctures in the skin. The bacteria that usualy lives on our skin can enter through the cut into the deeper lays of the skin causing the infection especially if your immune system is low.
Avatar f tn I have been looking into this a lot myself and found out about spider veins and varicose veins and I think that is what they are. I have just begun a new birth control pill after some problems with my hormone levels and am also on the end of my recent period - could this be causing it? I read that it can if you are on the pill and have imbalanced hormones - such as being pregnant or on your period. Will they fade or disappear when my hormone levels are balanced?
Avatar f tn I also get bulging veins at times and the pain comes and goes. My left forearm felt and got like that as well but it went away it is fine. I get some pinching and funny feeling in my right leg as well and almost feels the same way but not quite. This has been going on for 2 days. Any idea of what this can be?
Avatar m tn I have recently gone through a separation which has hit me really hard and my anxiety levels are really high still after 7 months, symptoms are churning stomach loss of interest but the one that is really getting me is my veins in my arms and legs really pump up and get quite uncomfortable and it coincides with my feeling of anxiety.
Avatar m tn What i am going to do with this varicose veins in my hands? how to erase it?
Avatar f tn Does anyone else have swelling in their legs, feet, arms, and hands? One of my legs is definitely more swollen than the other. Am i alone in this?
Avatar f tn I was relieved that day. A few days later, I woke up with bulging veins all over my hands and arms. Then I got them on my chest, breasts and even a few on the lower part of my stomach. Today I noticed a little vein underneath my right eye I have another medical appointment but it's in 3 weeks and I am so scarred that I don't know what to do anymore. Is there anyone else with similar symptoms?
Avatar n tn Thanks, doctornee medical. Wasn't aware varicose veins occurred in the arms. I've added "no veins showing, no discoloration" to my text description, also. Have been checked for diabetes. Am following up on your suggestion of hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn 2 veins, one coming up each side. They also seem to be growing slowly. I also have very prominent veins in my arms, hands and feet. My legs and feet get very soar when I stand still and I almost always need to put my feet up after walking. I am very healthy, active and not overweight. My mother had vericose veins but nothing to the extent that I do. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any suggestion on what else I could try to fix the problem?
Avatar f tn Other possibility is of varicose veins. Varicose veins are veins that have become enlarged and twisted. They are common in the superficial veins of the legs but can be present in arms also. Confirmatory tests are Doppler ultrasound and angiogram. I sincerely advise you to get it confirmed from a vascular surgeon. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
11587059 tn?1427628263 The tingling fingers and feet sound like poor blood circulation which is also related to varicose veins I think. (Varicose veins are due to blood not pumping all the way through and backlogging/leaking back into the veins.) Bruised legs also circulatory, sounds like spider veins, which are related to varicose but don't stick out and they spread out more. Itching could be circulatory as well, or puppps or liver issues or allergies or sensitive skin.
Avatar m tn I have been through quite a bit in my life and have a very high pain tolerance, and also am pretty good about waiting things out. That said, I have a suddenly bulging vein that runs the course of my inner left leg the is not discolored, but hard and painful. I am aware of the movement of blood throughout the leg, I can feel it rushing,. It has gone cold and then tight and then cold a few times.
Avatar f tn ve been drawn with blue pen) and has progressed from my hand and feet up my legs and arms and I also see veins on my neck and around my eyes. This comes and goes - there doesn't seem to be a pattern though I've noticed it generally happens more in the evening and doesn't seem linked to temperature. Also, separately, the veins on the backs of my hands seem to be swelling a lot more than usual after hot showers.
Avatar f tn They’re easy to see because they’re superficial veins close to the surface of your skin and typically occur on show up in your legs, feet, ankles and hands. While bulging veins are usually harmless, they can be a sign of a more serious problem like a blood clot." https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/22877-bulging-veins It may actually still be varicose veins which is common in 1 in 3 adults. For most people, a bulging vein is truly harmless. Unsightly, perhaps.
Avatar n tn Your symptoms may be related to a vascular issue rather than a neurologic one. Specifically, varicose veins can cause a burning or pain in the feet and behind the knees that is felt less during movement. Most often, bulging veins will be visible on the legs. This is more likely if you stand a lot; treatment is with compression stockings, leg elevation, and sometimes there are injection or surgical treatments available.
155701 tn?1230047101 I wouldn't completely rule out varicose veins because I have read that they can occasionally be painful. If that is the case & a doctor recommends they be treated, a lot of U.S. Medical Insurance plans cover this. I only mention this because I have spider veins (mostly in my right thigh) but they are just ugly, not painful, so the treatment to get rid of them is not covered by insurance.
Avatar f tn same here, but not until I was about 6 weeks. Another thing they won't mention on the internet is your veins in your hands and stuff will POP out more because of the xtra blood in your system.
Avatar f tn my hands swell and are numb also my feet swell in evening after working 11 hour shifts. Why?
Avatar n tn The clear fluid in the tube appeared to enter my vein. I felt a thud in my heart and then the veins on my hands, forearms and calf area of my legs enlarged. The arms only drain to normal and are not visable when I raise my arms vertically. When I then lower my arms again the veins pop out again and are unsightly. I had never had this happen before. It is when at rest that it is worse.
Avatar m tn Seems many of you have the same thing I do. About 3 years ago I had a sharp pain in my right leg I look doen only to find my vien above my knee had swelled up and I had a sharp pain that lasted about 15 min but the swollen vien stayed that way for about 45min. The next day I had a huge bruse. This happened agian on my left leg so I went to the doctors as I have a hole in my heart and thought it might have something to do with my circulation...
Avatar f tn Hello, sorry about he delay in answering your question. Inner thigh pain and groin pain are common with varicose veins. Also, calf pain is included in that. Please see your doctor if you have not already. Let us know if you have seen them and what they have said. Here is an older question about this answered by a MedHelp doctor https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Blood-Disorders/Varicose-veins---inner-thigh-pain-/show/2027668 Here is some basic information on the condition as a whole.
Avatar f tn Low blood pressure and back pain for sure it makes me so dizzy
Avatar n tn For the past 2 weeks I have felt hot spots in mostly my arms and legs. I worried at first about a blood clot but I was always told a clot was red and hot to the touch and none of these ever are. Only internally hot. They only last several seconds and disappear. Then I may not have another for several hours or even a day or so. I do take Lamictal and Topamax and admit a miss a day here and there. Could this be the culprit or could this be indicative of something serious?
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
Avatar f tn Have you been checked for vericocele veins in your testicles?
