Avatar n tn Percutaneous coil embolization of the spermatic vein offers a minimally invasive method for treating symptomatic varicose veins of the scrotum. Consult a urologist for further assistance. Best.
Avatar n tn Age is not a factor, from teens to older adults can get varicose veins on the penis or scrotum (and other places). These type of varicose veins can range in size with most the size of a BB or smaller (or bigger). Inspect it closely. If it seems to follow or be "on top" of a vein, this is probably what you have. There is usually little to no pain associated with these type of varicose veins (scrotum varicose veins can cause pain).
Avatar m tn Scrotum is the skin of the testis, male organ, so there are veins here also and it is the same as veins in your leg. If the valves in the veins in the scrotum aren't functioning quite as well this condition occurs. Varicoceles are dilated blood vessels (varicose veins) in the scrotum. Blood from the testicle drains into a collection of tiny veins. A minimally invasive radiological procedure called embolization can, in most cases, correct the problem.
Avatar f tn Hello, sorry about he delay in answering your question. Inner thigh pain and groin pain are common with varicose veins. Also, calf pain is included in that. Please see your doctor if you have not already. Let us know if you have seen them and what they have said. Here is an older question about this answered by a MedHelp doctor https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Blood-Disorders/Varicose-veins---inner-thigh-pain-/show/2027668 Here is some basic information on the condition as a whole.
Avatar m tn Hello, Unfortunately the picture could not be opened but from the symptoms the possibility of varicose veins and varicocele need to be ruled out. Varicocele is an abnormal enlargement and widening of the veins draining the scrotum and testicles. it presents as a bag or worms. It presents as enlarged twisted veins of the scrotum and a physical examination can help in clarifying the diagnosis. Please get it examined from a urologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am looking for support for my varicose veins! I have what would be considered a pretty severe case and I'm only 31 and male. I've had them since youth, but after all the chaos in my life in that past 5 yrs, I haven't been in touch with my body as much as usual!
571167 tn?1223214465 These meds cause hostility, restlessness, digestive, vascular (varicose veins, hemrhoids, and varicose veins in the scrotum--infertility), urinary, reproductive (impotence), digestive problems, sleeplessness, ticks, stiffness, and more! The bottom line is that the drugs make them money.
Avatar f tn I’m 28yrs and have been mastubating and watching porn since I was 15yrs ,, for some years now I have been experiencing sharp pains on the left side of the pelvic and my scrotum, the pain in my scrotum goes and come back and just last month while examining my scrotum I noticed some heaviness in the left side and bigger veins too ....
Avatar m tn This started happening most pronounced on the right side of my scrotum and penis. My scrotum skin is red and mottled and tender to the touch and it feels like the blood just won't leave that area except when laying flat. Getting an erection is now painful and achy near the right base of my penis. I haven't had any sexual activity in about a year, so not an STD and I was confirmed clean before then.
Avatar m tn This causes the blood to back up, leading to swelling and widening of the veins. (This is essentially the same process that leads to varicose veins, which are common in the legs.) Varicoceles usually develop slowly. They are more common in men ages 15 - 25 and are most often seen on the left side of the scrotum. Varicoceles are often the cause of infertility in men. The sudden appearance of a varicocele in an older man may be caused by a kidney tumor, which can block blood flow to a vein.
Avatar n tn It is quite common and urologists see this all the time. It is basically like varicose veins in the scrotum. This means, however, that it causes too much blood to be around the testicles. Testicles don't need to be that warm - that's why they are located outside the body cavity are are free to move close to and away from the body to control their own temperature! If you are trying to get pregnant, all the more reason he will want to have this surgically corrected.

Avatar m tn Veins On Penis A penis get erected when blood circulate faster and so the veins appear more clearly. As fast as the blood circulate, penis erects more and early. Its a normal and useful process. Because of unauthorised doctors most of the boys take it as any complicated disease. There is no reality in this. Human body has veins under the skin all over the body. These veins are clearly shown at the back of the hand also.
Avatar f tn I've also been experiencing pain down below and my left side is actually swollen. It also hurts more the longer I'm on my feet especially at work standing for long periods of time. Went to my doctor and found out its varicose veins and will go away after I deliver. I'm 35 weeks now and it's been going on since about 25 weeks.
Avatar m tn first began to experience electric pain through groin area and noticed prominent varicose veins in right groin. also noticed numbness and tingling sensations throughout my body (pins and needles). the best I can describe it is short electric shock like pains. some muscle weakness, headaches as well as overall fatigue. Week 4: the week 3 symptoms have worsened and now I feel similar pains in my left leg. In addition, there is muscle quivering in my groins and my biceps.
Avatar n tn http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23068876/ “Normally, you cannot see or feel the veins in the spermatic cord that carry the blood from the testes. If you have a varicocele, the veins become bigger (they enlarge or dilate) and this makes them more prominent. It is similar to varicose veins of the legs. The size of a varicocele can vary. A large varicocele is sometimes said to look and feel like 'a bag of worms' in the scrotum.” I would suggest you see a surgeon at the earliest.
Avatar f tn Seems like we share a few common things besides varicose veins. Only discovered I was preg at 14 weeks and am 27 weeks now and wld really want vbac but read somewhere saying they usually start inside so was also worried about obstruction of baby.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with MS in Feb of 2011. My symptoms started with tingling/numbness in my feet that worked it's way up my legs and into my groin area. The symtoms have subsided in my legs and groin area, but the tinglin in my feet has never gone away. I've also been experiencing daily tremors and twitches. Within the last week, I've been experiencing pain behind my knee and last night I felt a bulge. It is not an abscess, but more of a swell.
Avatar m tn I just thought I'd comment, as a woman. Any woman that says ANYTHING about your penis being not up to par is a WASTE of your time. Don't let anyone think you are less than perfect for ANY reason. Women have to embrace the differences in men just as much as men have to embrace the differences in women. We all look different-- some have stretch marks, different looking vaginas and labia, but that really doesn't matter unless you make it your priority.
Avatar m tn The thing that makes it worse in I have suffered with varicose veins in my legs which I have had treated but they seem to be coming back very quickly and I’m sure the dilation of my leg veins is accelerating this. If I am calm and feeling good I get no pain in my legs and feet but if I’m worked up I get pains in the arch of my foot and inside of my ankle below the bone, I also get a sensation in my feet of having things in my shoe mildly pressing in to my foot.
Avatar m tn The varicocele has presented little to no problems over the last few years however in the last 6 months or so I am started to get a combination of red and purplish superficial veins on the shaft of my penis. The largest one is near the base, stretching from the base to about mid-shaft, and is purple or blue in color. They don't bulge out at all and are very thin. They are way more noticeable when erect, and when flaccid, if I stretch the penis they present very clearly.
Avatar m tn Varicose veins usually result from failures in valves in veins connecting the superficial veins to the deep system in your legs. This is a mechanical problem. No medicine can restore this function. Horse chestnut extracts have been studied and appear to decrease the swelling due to venous insufficiency but the appearance is unchanged.
1138687 tn?1548643978 Hi, I am wondering why there isn't a varicose veins forum!? Where else might I post my varicose veins concerns? I posted in the Deep Vein Thrombosis forum but noticed it is rarely used. I'm not certain but isn't DVT a result of varicose veins? And if varicose veins are more common, with DVT being a side affect, then Why not change that forum to Varicose Veins? Regardless shouldn't there be a forum for varicose veins?
Avatar m tn My wife has a protruding vein on 1 leg which her doctor has informed her that it is not a medical problem. She has recently noticed more veins that protrude periodically. This is causing her distress so I'm looking for some things that we can do to help prevent more protruding veins and perhaps reduce the one that's protruding already.
Avatar n tn Horse chestnut is the best-known natural treatment for varicose veins. It helps prevent swelling and strengthens capillary and vein walls. The usual dose is 300 mg a day. Side effects are pretty rare, but if you start feeling itchy or nauseous, taper back your dose. Nature’s Way has a widely available, quality product I generally recommend. Grape seed extract also supports the walls of blood vessels. Take 150 to 300 mg in divided doses over the course of a day.
Avatar m tn It could be a varicocele (varicose vein). And varicose veins can develop clots. Also, twists can happen, called a testicular torsion. This is an emergency type problem, and I think the pain would have sent you to the emergency room. But a urologist is the best doctor to see. He can assess you for varicocele or epididymitis and reassure you about testicular torsion not being the problem. But honestly I think tight muscles could be just irritating the nerves additionally.
Avatar m tn In other words its perhaps at base or closer to left side of penis as i feel and perhaps not on the penis itself. Also it is not in the left side of scrotum but only on the upper of the left side of penis as i have told before.the slight pain seems to vanish but then re occurs and it looks like it occurs after I mainly move my penis when i go to washroom for urine or when the penis moves in some way i.e due to engorging(becoming large) and then the pain stays for some time.
Avatar f tn Im due June 27th with a baby boy and I am always in pain I have gotten really bad varicose veins from my groin right into the back if my shins is anyone else's having anything simular I didn't have anything like this in my last pregnancy.
