I researched the additives I was using and it would appear that the effective agent was BioSil, although the trace minerals may have played some part. I have never found this treatment in the literature and have never known anyone whose varicose veins simply disappeared. Biosil strengthens the vessels. It also is excellent for hair, nails, and skin. A skin condition in my outer ear canals plagued me since my teens, causing periodic infections.

Whew, it worked fast thank goodness. Witch hazel is good for relief but not so much for the actual yeast infection. The swelling and pain are from the yeast infection. I had it too! I went from normal to THAT in an instant (no slow build up). Can you call your ob/gyn? They can either prescribe diflucan which is a pill you take to knock out yeast or you can go the OTC route like I did but best to check in with your doctor first, especially if you've never used it.

Note that when you have laser treatment it destroys the veins so the blood will go to other veins and the problem will most likely return.

^be careful on that witch hazel can cause excessive drying though, you have to have the right type of skin for that

I began using witch hazel, vaseline and keeping the area clean, and now the lump has reduced to about the size of a pea but it is still there. It no longer itches or burns, but some days I have a deep ache in my tailbone (don't know if it's related). There is no blood and my bowel movements have returned to normal.
