You don't need valtrex. It's a long shot you contracted hsv from this. Sounds more like you just aggravated the skin from the act. You won't get flu symptoms with out lesions. You seem way over worried in general.

I recommend it. Our immune systems are so weak while pregnant and there's not much we can safely take if we do catch the flu. I got the flu shot last month and had no complications. I've also gotten the flu shot the last 3 years with no problems. I've never had the flu before.

t is possible to get the flu in the two weeks after the shot since you are not fully protected and the flu shot is it 100% effective.

But sometimes the pre-ob symptoms are harder to detect nowadays. Sometimes I have tingling in the genital area, but not as much as before when I first caught it. During this last ob, I had really bad nerve pain in my legs, which I never had before.

I have felt terribly since I slept with ex. I had flu symptoms. Internal soreness so bad the dr's thought it could be ghonorrea/chlamydia. They gave me meds and a shot of rocephin just in case. I am still irritated from the inside got test result for HSV2 from swab test POSITIVE I am still waiting for blood results. If you have the flu you need to see your doctor. Tamiflu, a prescription medication, can decrease the severity and the length of the flu but you have to take it right away. Drink more water and rest - but first, see your doc.

I have seen many posts here about MS, the Flu & getting a flu shot. I officially have the flu...started feeling crummy 2 days ago & woke up this morning completely congested & a sore, swollen throat that makes it hard to swallow. fun... Two years ago I had a flu shot and developed flu like symptoms that evening. I believe it was a reaction to the shot, perhaps an alergic one. I had been controlling my a fib quite well with sotolol up to that point. That evening following the innoculation, I became sore in my joints, started sweating, had chest pain, and a recurrance of my a fib. Well that is good that u do not get a bad reaction from it...I know someone that had always gotten sick after getting the shot...I never got it and don't get the flu....so I am praying that streak will continue to work for me : ) I am also overweight....and want to lose, but have a diff time doing normal exercises.....even walking can be too much at times...I have another condition which I recently had surgery and I am still recouping.

t do the flushot...it is not for all strains. took can still get the flu, and you can get it from the shot itself....which 5 of my friends did last year ....

If you are only infected genitally, then you can only transmit from the genital area. You say you've never had any major outbreaks orally? Mr dr told me I have to get vaccinated during pregnancy but I never react well to shots I can take the shot but its afterwards I still get sick like if I never got a shot in the first place snd I got the measel shot 4 years ago.

but, after the newness, we often sit with those bad symptoms for quite a while before they begin to improve. My thought is that this later time is the best for the flu shot and it would be the time after the 'roids are pretty much out of our systems (more than 2 weeks).

Any other vaccine I've been all for getting it. The flu shot, however, seems to be hit or miss because the flu is constantly changing and I've known more people to have side effects from it. I don't get it and just try to steer clear of anyone who seems sick and wash my hands often. I can't remember the last time I had the flu. I didn't get the flu shot. And when you get the flu shot you CAN get sick from it since they are injecting the virus into your system. I got the tdap shot and did the gestantional diabetes teat and that's it. I declined everything else.

id agree with your dr. a flu shot is exactly what its called. they inject you with a strange fluid that contains the actual flu. its a low dose of flu to help your immune system boost itself to better fight off the actual flu that will be circulating through people in the months to come. getting the shot can actually give you the flu, but yours does sound like a bad reaction to the shot.. if youre immune system is strong and youve never caught the flu before, you dont need this shot.
