Avatar_f_tn More to update: I had a second blood test done, Herpes Select again. Again the numbers are negative. (Anything above 0.9 is considered positive.) HSV I - 0.75 HSV II - 0.0 So after three rounds a negative testing, the most recent one being 6 weeks after the "outbreak", can I assume its negative? Or because the levels of Type I have risen, but not to a positive level, is it likely that its type 1 and still rising? Should I get another blood test in a couple of months?
429155_tn?1205676864 I went to my GP complaning of no sense of smell, saw a surgeon and surgery was recomended, I was given a prescription for Prednisone, a steroid, this gave me some sense of smell, and here's the but, I had the operation and still could not smell, so more Prednisone, well the upshot is that the steroids have caused my Osteo-Necrosis, this is when the heads of the long bones die, so have now had core decompression on one hip and the other totally replaced. Oxycontin.
Avatar_n_tn My new Doctor put me on Valtrex to fight a Virus infection. I have started to feel less burning and pain. I'll be taking it for a month and then I will let you know how I feel. Thanks for your support.
Avatar_n_tn First, I will feel a bit dizzy and nauseas, then I will have to run to the bathroom because the diarrhea hits me and I feel like while I'm going to the bathroom I will pass out, then the nausea and dizziness with cold chillls and then I am hot so I have to take the sweater off that I put on because I was cold. I am 30 years old and I have a mild case of lupus that has been under control with plaquinil over the past ten years.
Avatar_n_tn I have had MRI's done of the Cervical spine(neck region) and Lumbar spine (lower back) I have a lg hernated disc in my neck and degenetive disc disease with an annular tear in my lower back. I am going to also request my doctors to do an MRI of Thoracic spine (middle back) because they haven't done an MRI of that section yet. I am not sure if the mid back problems is caused by these issues I know I have. I would suggest you dig into the problem more.
Avatar_n_tn here i go....so for the last 6 months i have had itchy eyelids...my eye doctor told me it was due to mild allergies and prescribed eye drops which didnt help in the least so i turned to over the counter allergy medicine which hasn't helped either (so i dont think it's allergies) and in the last 3 weeks not only are my eyelids itchy but when i wake up in the morning my upper eye lids are bright red and swelled up so bad that its embarassing!!!!
Avatar_n_tn I am a 27 year old male. I had unprotected sex with a female around the beginning of June and shortly after I noticed a mild burning sensation when I ejaculated. I knew this was likely to be some kind of STD as a result, (I had been diagnosed and treated for non-specific urethritus 2 years earlier) so proceeding to get an appointment with my GP. He prescribed a 10 day course of Doxycycline 100mg capsules which I took as prescribed. I returned to the doctors as my symptoms persisted.
