It is also important that you remove all herbal supplements and alcohol for the time being, and make sure to lower your salt intake to less than 2000 mg per day. Make sure to check all the labels on foods as there are some foods that hide lots of salt (i.e. processed foods, soy sauce, etc.). There is also some literature regarding plant based diets with regard to their ability to lower blood pressure (See texts by Neal Barnard, M.D., and Cl Essylstyn, M.D.
Recently did a body check up and urine showed traces of blood and microalbumin at 92.2 mg/L. Creatinine levels is fine at 10.15 mmol/L. The ACR if 9.1mgAlb/mmolCr. My renal functions all showed normal returns with nothing over the accepted range. However the the presence of microalbumin I am worried when I read that this is a sign of early kidney damage. Went to see a kidney doctor to have further checks.

I'm 29 and I take 600 mg of lithium a day. I used to enjoy drinking when I was younger (not getting super wasted but I liked my wine and beer), but since I've been on lithium I can't handle wine, and forget about liquor/spirits - zero. Why? First of all because of constipation. Alcohol combined with lithium is dehydrating! But I also have stopped drinking because it's not fun anymore...
50 mg in the morning..and 50 mg at night. I have read posts here where people really have trouble with it, but I just love it. It keeps my heartrate down---and (most...well...some..) of the time it helps with the palpitations. I had some dizziness when I first started taking it, but thats it. Not one other side effect. I was also on Lipitor a year ago...It really worked, and I had zero side effects from that. Hope this helps!

I am taking calcium and magnesium supplements (800mg of each at night + 400 mg of each in the morning). . I have taken BP regularly with Omron digital home device and found it to vary between 137/70 and 160/100 but usually around 150/90. This has been while at home away from a stressful environment. Resting heart rate seems to be about 80bpm. Consistently higher in the doctors office (160-170/90) - I think this may be anxiety about being there in the first place!
