i first started having a watery white discharge when i was pregnant. It had no smell, itching, or burning to it. I was tested for STD's but all test were negative. I figured that it might just be the pregnancy, but after i had my son it continued. In fact, it has increased in the amount of discharge, thickness, and now has a sour smell to it. I still have no itch or burn, but i took a very expensive yeast infection medicine just in case that was what it was but it didnt change anything.
Our 4 year old female cat has had a vaginal yeast infection most of her life on and off. We have had her to the vets many times in trying to get a handle on it to no aval. She has been on different medications for over 5 months straight with this yeast infection never clearing up, the medications just seem to calm it down somewhat. Within 2 days of stopping a medication she will start the "wet bottom" and swell terrible all around her anus and vaginal area.
My friend had something called vaginitis, which is the opposite of a yeast infection. If you have vaginitis the creams for a yeast infection will make it worse. It is not an STD, it is similar to yeast infection and is brought on by a change in the normal ph. The symptoms are very similar. One thing she had was very swollen vaginal lips. She said it looked like a strawberry. Unfortunately there is no over-the-counter cure for vaginitis.

its hard to say but i can relate to those feelings you described when i get/have a yeast infection. do you have any unusual discharge? ususally when you have a yeast infection the discharge is thick, whitish, lumpy. very itchy, red, irritated. its's as if the vagina feels thick. sometimes i first experience (what you described) then a couple days later the discharge comes. If you never had a yeast infection before you should see your dr. so he/she can give you the proper treatment.

Symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection include itching in the vaginal / vulvar area, burning, soreness, pain during intercourse and/or urination, and vaginal discharge. Definite diagnosis is direct clinical examination and the doctor may take a specimen scraped from the affected area for microscopic analysis or for culture in the laboratory. A vaginal yeast infection is not considered to be a sexually transmitted infection, since Candida may be present in the normal vagina.
Or does it sound like vaginal yeast? Does yeast even come with muscle pains? I need help from anyone please.
(I am on birth control so I am possibly open to getting this) but, I have read that the symptoms of Yeast infection are itching, burning, and cottage-cheese like discharge? I don't burn or itch or have any pain in my vaginal area, but I have thick chunks in my discharge ( Yuck), its white and cottage cheese like. Not huge, but strings and clumps of it. Is yeast infection when you have a white stinky discharge in your vagina? Cus i've had that for a while now & my bf of 3 years sometimes gets disgusted -.- It doesnt hurt or anything. Or neither have like bumps or anything . But just smells sometimes, it comes out more when i sweat :p I just wash it sometimes when we have sex, but even if it sometimes smells , we still do it. He thinks its yeast infection too . We havent gone to check it out, but i'll just ask my doc.
A lot of the time it is not a yeast infection but another infection all together. For instance bacterial vaginosis is not an std. But it causes itching, discharge and burning also. Also, the monistat 1 day is a highly concentrated dose. So, I would not be surprised at the increased discomfort. If you don't feel better in a couple of days, you should see a doctor for proper testing.
On day 7 I developed what I thought was a yeast infection...very swollen, red, painful, itchy... Got monistat 1 day treatment...That was yesterday. Swelling has gone down a little. My question is I am occasionally having small amounts of blood streaked mucoid discharge. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Also I have little bumps around my vaginal opening. Is this normal as well?
About 3 weeks ago my vaginal region itched, smelled like yeast, and had a funny looking discharge, so I used the Monistat 3 night treatment. After i finished that the itch went away for about 4 days but now its back. It doesnt smell anymore or have the weird looking discharge, but it just itches like crazy. How long does the yeast infection last? What can i do to stop/heal the itching?
for the past 10 years i have been having vaginal discharge (the white stuff).i am in my mid 20s. but i didn't care much since people said it's because i was weak..until recently i found out it's the yeast infection. so is it really scary that i have to run to the Dr. immediately or is there any over the counter medicine to help get rid of it.
Then a few days ago it began to itch worse and I know I shouldn't have rubbed the area but I did and now it's irritated in a couple of places with some bumps where I rubbed it. The discharge looks more prevalent in my vaginal area but not much on my panty liner even though I've reached ovulation phase of my cycle so I'm wondering do I have a yeast infection combined with having irritated my rectal/anal area with the baby wipes on a shaved area?
Today i felt wetness between my legs so i got a mirror and looked and there was a lot of white discharge. What are the symptoms of a yeast infection? I wouldn't say that the discharge looked like cottage cheese but there was a lot of it. I have a cold right now so i'm not able to smell the discharge to check for unusual odor and i wouldn't say that there is any unsual itching but i have been itching though.
Hey I am 13 and I think I have a yeast infection the discharge turns yellow after it dries and my vaginal area is red and sometimes itchy I think I have a yeast infection but I am not sure also can you find over the counter medicines?? Also does a yeast infection stop your period?
As far as I know it was nothing but I would talk to your doctor tomorrow. I know I did end up having a urinary infection and a yeast infection sometime after seeing the discharge because I never told anybody. Here's what it says in my pregnancy book: If the discharge becomes a yellow-green, develops a stronger smell, or your vulva, vagina, and anal region become reddened and painful, particularly when you urinate, tell your prenatal caregivers.
If it's thick and lumpy then it's most likely a yeast infection. You need to see your doctor or pharmacy and get something to treat it.
sounds more like a yeast infection but you need to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis
Hello, You would need to be examined to determine that exact nature of your symptoms. If you are not better after a trial of over the counter Monistat, present to your ob/gyn for an evaluation. Best regards, Dr.
Hello! i am 15 weeks pregnant and have been treating for a yeast infection twice since i was 6 weeks. They give me that akward vaginal cream Nyaderm and it does absolutly nothing for me! I have told both doctors ive seen that i do not have any itching, swelling or discomfort. I only have this thick whitish-yellowish discharge coming out of me. Could it be something other than a yeast infection?
