Hello, The bad smell can be due to bacterial vaginosis. In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present. Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole and clindamycin. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.

Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole and clindamycin. The other possibility which should be ruled out is of a rectovaginal fistula.

However, this is unlikely related to that especially if the procedure was done a couple of weeks ago and medications were given. Any change in vaginal odor or discharge warrants further evaluation by a gynecologist. It is best that you have this checked to rule out another source of infection. Take care and do keep us posted.
I am 6 weeks after total hysterectomy. Your posting describes my situation exactly. BM smell during intercourse only. no discharge. We are clean. Can't figure it out. What did you discover?
rarely does it ever smell normal...there are those random days wer ther is no odor. then other days wher there is a more pleasant odor kinda like cookies?
We also can sometimes not have as great of pelvic floor muscles and urine can leak (which is also common during pregnancy). Typically yeast infections not only have a bit of an odor but also have a thick discharge and itching along with it. and it is said that sometimes what we can eat can affect our bodily smells for sure. Diabetes can change the smell of our urine and could cause this situation as well.
I have had my IUD for going on 2 1/2 yrs but for the past couple of months I have been expirenceing vaginal odor off and on. I have never had vaginal odor or any STD's. Can my IUD be causing the odor?
First and foremost don't be embarrassed; howeverm please don't ust dismiss it. A vaginal odor implies one of two things. Either you have an infection causing an odorous discharge or you must clean yourself more often. In pregnancy you have leukorrhea which is a mucousy discharge that is odorless; however, if you do not maintain good hygiene, this too can be odorous as well. I find that women who are obese have a problem with getting in between their folds and this can cause an odor as well.
That however, usually, though not always, comes with vaginal discharge which is foul smelling and not clear. Occasionally there is no discharge, and that is from "closed" Pyometra, which is even more serious, and needs immediate attention. However both open and closed Pyometra have other symtoms. The dog will probably start drinking an awful lot of water, may vomit, will be very listless, and probably won't eat. If your girls seem very fit and well, it doesn't really sound like this..
am pretty sure it is cleared up. There is no itchiness, and the 3rd day into my treatment there was no odor, not even on the the applicator stick that is used to insert the pill in my vagina. however, i did start my period 4 days into the treatment, but didn't use any tampons and didn't have sex throughout the entire treatment. i told my husband about it and he is curious as to whether or not this infection can effect him. do you know anything about that?
So off and on i have been having clear to yellowish vaginal discharge. It sometimes is oderless but sometimes has a fishy smell. Im not sure if its strong or mild oder because i have never had this before to compare it to. Is this normal? Im going to ask the dr about it on thursday. See if i need to be tested for infections. no burning or itchiness is present. Also have frequent urination, but not going a lot. Is baby on a nerve causing the urgency?
) For about a year I've had problems with a persistent, fecal-like, really offensive odor. It started one morning when I was straining to have bowel movement (always had constipation, don't drink enough water). I noticed almost complete numbness in that area, and ever since then have had feelings of incomplete evacuation, and this odor that I can't get rid of.
