Hiya, I am 15 years old and have been sufffering from a vaginal infection- which cause me to have a lot of discharge and the worst thing is that is smells fishy!!

Douching disturbs the natural balance of the vagina. It is a self cleaning mechanism and rarely needs assistance getting things out that don't belong. Vaginal discharge is normal in a healthy vagina and very much needed. If you are unhealthy in that area, the vagina will let you know through strong, pugnent smells to having an intense itch or burning to yellow/green/milky/or lumpy discharge.

Omg ever since I've been pregnant I feel like mine smells :-( I wash it all the time so I don't understand!!! Does vaginal wash help this???

Has it always been that color? Or did it recently change? Because when vaginal discharge changes color it is usually because of an underlying infection. Emotional stress, a tampon or foreign body left in the vagina, or ovulation. But to prevent excess discharge, keep your genital area, clean and dry, and do not 'douche' (washing the inside of the vagina with various solvents, such as vinegar, scented soaps etc.) As this can increase chances of infection.

Every girl/woman gets vaginal discharge and unless it smells fishy, looks extremely clumpy, or is another color other than clear or white, it's completely normal to have. It's nothing to worry about and is normal.

For the past couple of days, I have been experiencing a vaginal discharge that smells and is brown like that of feces. I have noticed that it becomes pronounced during intercourse with my fiance'. Is it possible that there is a tear in my colon that is secreting through my vagina. My family has a history of colon cancer but I don't want to jump to conclusions. It smells really bad especially when i'm in school and rises off my seat . The scent just perfume the area . I'm not sure if people around smells it . I am sexually active . I would just like to know if any one has any idea of why I am getting such unpleasant discharge .

Idk about the smell part but it wouldn't be abnormal to have blood that far along. u could possibly have an infection or maybe u have already had that smell and u didn't realize u had it until u saw the discharge and became paranoid. have they checked u for dilation yet? It would prolly be best to ask a dr or call l&d.

If the discharge is really, really smelly, not just a little sour, but like old dead meat that has been left out of the refrigerator, that is a hallmark of an infection called bacterial vaginitis. BV is something to be confirmed by a doctor and treated with antibiotics. But I would guess you don't have that.

I have the same issue though i am almost 14 and a virgin and most of the time that discharge is heavier than my period

I have had this whitish discharge as long as I can remember, I'm pretty sure since I first started my period when I was 11, which was years ago. i know that anyones vagina does very lil discharge as a natural/normal cleansing. But this is not like that. This is like 24/7. It's nasty and very uncomfortable. Sounds like vaginal discharge to me, if it's white it sounds perfectly healthy, and the amount of discharge is likely to increase as your pregnancy progresses. If it turns a different colour, or smells foul, then go to your doctor, otherwise relax. Hope this helps.
