You may be having a yeast infection or vaginal candidiasis, which typically causes swelling, redness, and itchiness of the vaginal area. It also causes a curd-like vaginal discharge. There may also be skin involvement wherein the skin around the vaginal area also becomes infected and become red and have rashes. Try to avoid wearing tight underwear and pants. Wear cotton underwear as much as possible and maintain proper hygiene.

Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause of abnormal vaginal odor and discharge. It is caused by a change in the type of bacteria found in the vagina.
The exact cause for the change in type of bacteria is still not known, but it is can be due to IUD’s,multiple sex partners or having intercourse with a new partner.
In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present.
There are many causes of vaginal discharge in women and many of the causes are not STDs and many of which represent normal variation in individuals over time. One of the most common causes of discharge in women is a processes called bacterial vaginosis which is an overgrowth of the bacterial normally present in the discharge There are many other causes as well. ok ive been having a vaginal discharge for over a month now, i thought it was nothing..... then it went from white to yellow then from yellow to green and there is a very strong odour too..... before this happened i had, had with someone and a week or to it popped up.... i have been tested but am still waiting for the results but am curious t o see what it could be??
