She is suffering from severe leg pain and also has a stress urinary incontinence. It is very hard to manage her. We had tried some medications, but nothing worked for her. One of our family friends had told us that physiotherapy. Is a good treatment method of a woman with stress urinary incontinence. Is it applicable for an aged woman? What is this treatment all about? dicyclomine is a normal thing to prescribe for the treatment of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and urinary incontinence, but one of the side effects is it gives dogs a very dry mouth - which in turn leads them to drink more than they normally might, which in turn can lead to more incontinence ... and the poor dog ends up in a bit of a viscous cycle. The other problem, with dogs that do not drink enough water while taking this medication, is they become constipated and dehydrated.

My distal urethra has been swollen, sore and smarting. On May 7, 2013, I found a "sand" grain betveen my labia. It vas brownish, with innumeral vacuoles and some regular structures, not exactly like microvilli. Maybe such grains, if numerous, irritate my external genitalia, urinary opening and vagina.
I have a question regarding urinary and fecal incontinence as a consequence of MS. I was wondering if any of you had experienced this, if it is treated and how?

I have looked at my urine and vaginal samples under a microscope. There are sloughed epithelial sheets in my urine. I think that they have come from the urethral epithelium.
Ever since the Ureteroscopy I have had pretty bad stress urinary incontinence. Is this a normal side effect of either procedure?? Is this a permanent side effect?? I had a hysterectomy, total and done vaginally, in Oct 2009, then bladder fell 2 months after, had the cystocele repaired and then around 6 weeks later the rectum and top of vaginal vault fell.

There is no way to implant a nerve into the spinal cord. If the son is experiencing something like urinary incontinence there is a device that some people have found useful that runs wires from the root(s) of the spinal nerves into areas that help control the sphincter muscles to try to control urinary output - so people don't leak. Is that what you're speaking of?
Night time bed wetting or incontinence could be due to stress, functionally small bladder, diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus, urinary bladder wall instability, UTI, stones and neurological problems. Urinary bladder wall problem has been deducted in your case. However you can discuss your case with your urologist. The enumerated the possibilities can be investigated or ruled out one by one by your physician. A psychological assessment of the situation may also help.

I am hoping to find a reason for my daughter's fecal/urinary incontinence. She wets/soils herself several times in a day, and through the night. She has had several medical tests to rule out a physical cause, including a spinal MRI. I know mentally she is capable of using the toilet, and as her mom, I feel there is cause, possibly dietary, that we can manage if only we could find it.
I'm suffering from Urinary Incontinence. I'm 40 year old male. I all ready have an enlarged prostate and had that for many years, but recently I've been dealing with incontinence. I pretty much drip after every time I urinate and it may last for a half hour to hour after urinating. I had a Cystoscopy and a Urodynamic and they didn't find anything wrong with the bladder. My problem seems to be getting worse. I was on medication but it doesn't seem to help.

Hi to everyone! I started having the problem with urinary incontinence about 4 years ago when I was 30. At first it was not that bad and I did not really worry or think about it. The last 2 years it got worse. It is not that much the frequency as the urgency that is my problem. The urge comes suddenly and is very strong. I have few minutes to find a toilet or otherwise I just can not hold it.

Drug induced urinary retention is usually treated by urinary catheterization and reducing the dose of the culprit drugs. Urinary retention is one of the known adverse effects seen with antipsychotics.
Bladder pacemaker is used only for patients who have long standing problems of micturition e.g those suffering from urge incontinence, spinal cord injuries and not for patients of drug induced urinary retention.
