I would not discontinue any of that medication without a doctors say. Prednisone is dealing with an immune issue, Heprin is thinning your blood so blood clots don't form. I take both these too. I would think your doctor would probably have you stop the estrogen and progesterone between 10 and 12 weeks. I know it's a lot right now to take but it's so very important to make sure you take these meds consistently right now.

Hello Doctor, I have a question based on a helpful response you gave me earlier. When Vagifem or Estrace is prescribed for a post menopausal woman with a uterus, should a progestin always be prescribed as well? I've been taking Vagifem for 2 years without a progestin, and now I have to undergo an endometrial biopsy because of some buildup of the lining of my uterus (I have no bleeding....it showed up on an TV ultrasound...small changes and endometrial thickness of 5mm).

m 34 and after a recent visit to a gyno she prescribed me vagifem suppositories and betnovate cream. I am not menopausol or anything. I've just had gyno issues in past few months of a burning sensation inside my vagina and sometimes outside too. It is very uncomfortable at times. She prescribed me vagifem and betnovate to use for 3 months consistently before I go back to her. I'm worried after reading on internet about cancer being linked to it and so on.

I am 58 and three years post menopause. I have been using Vagifem for over a year and love it. No side effects for me or my husband. I have read a lot about it and it seems to be widely thought of as an effective remedy for vaginal dryness in a way that does not let the estrogen be absorbed by the body. I will continue to use it.

I have recently been started on Vagifem and in the last 3 days have had copiou amounts of greenish watery vaginal discharge. Should I be concerned it is very annoying.

I have been prescribed 2x daily Vagifem tablets as part of a fertility treatment with Clomid. I have been told that should I fall pregnant I would have to continue this treatment for 6 further weeks (~8 weeks treatment with Vagifem in total).

She said I could stop the Vagifem for 3 months and have another ultrasound, however, she recommends that I have the biopsy now. Can you please explain what "Adenomyosis versus hyperplastic changes" means? And would you suggest a biopsy based on these results? My doctor told me that I don't have to stop taking the Vagifem, however, I don't feel comfortable taking it now. Do you feel I should discontinue? Thank you for your assistance.

I have used it for only a week and have had bad headaches, plus terrible pains in my womb. Also pins and needles down my left arm, and even my teeth are feeling very sensitive. I can't believe this is doing me any good. All replies will be welcome.

Yes I've had yellow green discharge for 4 months - no bacteria showing up on tests - now seeing a specialist who has put me on vagifem same dose as you. I'm not convinced this will work and am desperate to get rid of the discharge - any suggestions?

I am 54 yrs. of age and have been period free for 8 yrs. Within the last year and a half I have been seeking treatment for horrible burning inside and out of the vaginal area. My doctor has done many tests and has said that I have vaginal atrophy (sp) and told me to use replens. She also recommended Prempro as I still have a uterus. I no longer have health insurance and can't afford the prempro and the replens DOESN"T work.

Has anyone else suffered the dreaded Vaginal Atrophy. Have been prescribed Vagifem which is helping a little. Main problem for me is burning after urination. Don't like using the prescribed betnovate cream too often as this burns. Now trying the yes products. Some days I seem much better and then the next day it returns with avengeance. Well i called today to get more answers as to what was causing the bleeding, and apparently i have blood clots forming in the layers of the placenta where its suppose to attach to the uterus....but the clots should be dissolving on their own. Currently on light bed rest and no sex. Has anyone experienced this before its called Subchorionic hematoma...

Always better to play it safe and see what they say. He or she can better determine the cause. Blood clots can be very serious. I have a clotting disorder and am on daily lovenox shots throughout my pregnancy as a preventive measure.

My mom has had a headache for 2 months straight now and was in the hospital for a while and they found out that she has a blood clot in her head in the transverse and sigmoid sinuses. Good day, I have been passing large(and small) blood clots for the past several months. I went to my gyn and he found that I have polyps. Understanding that, I am still passing clots intermittently and it is detrimental to my sex life. Although my husband doesn't say anything, it's like playing russian roulette. You just never know when the clots will appear, could be before, during or after sex. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Could this be related to endometriosis? How can this be resolved?
