Uti infection remedy

Common Questions and Answers about Uti infection remedy

infection

Avatar f tn You can try the home remedy first. Drink a teaspoon of baking soda in 8oz of water. Once this morning and once tonight. Also drink cranberry juice. The baking soda should kill the infection and the cranberry juice should help the pain. Up your water intake as well over the next couple days. The baking soda is high in sodium so you'll have to flush that. It cured the uti I had last summer.
Avatar n tn Is there any home remedy for a dog with urinary tract infection, the dog seems to be having accidents and never has done this before.
Avatar f tn No that is not normal! It sounds like you have a uti (urinary tract infection) It usually burns when you urinate, sometimes there is pressure too. If you can visually see the blood you definitly need to go to the dr. They will give you an antibiotic that will help.
Avatar n tn Frequent urination could be due to two causes, they are prostrate enlargement and UTI. As, UTI has been ruled out, digital rectal examination of prostrate and post void residue should be checked to confirm the prostrate enlargement. Prostrate enlargement manifests itself with obstructive symptoms leading to recurrent UTI. Also, it is advised to get a check of the level of PSA. Discuss with your doctor regarding this and follow his advise. Best.
Avatar f tn Anyone ever treat a uti with home remedies? I'm 18 weeks i have a uti but the antibiotics i got from my doctor is killing me i just threw all my meals from this morning. I threw up soo much that i am sweating I have never felt soo horrible in my life.
Avatar f tn This is my first pregnancy so I am soo worked that this water infection will affect my baby. Has anyone else had a uti this early and everything has been fine?
Avatar f tn A bladder infection is actually considered to be a UTI. A UTI typically will involve the kidney, bladder, and ureter. Its best to take the antibiotics simply due to the fact that youre pregnant. Take care.
Avatar f tn So I'm 4 weeks along very new but before I found out I was pregnant I went to the doc and he told me I had A uti. I never started the antibiotics I'm scared to take them now that i know I'm pregnant. What should I do? Take them? Find a home remedy? Any advice?

385161 tn?1270081218 how did you ward off the infections?
211940 tn?1267881266 Socrates, you ABSOLUTELY MUST treat a UTI with antibiotics. There is NO home remedy that will kill the bacteria. The things you have been using are great to help PREVENT a UTI (they do so by keeping the urine pH on the acid side) but can't give those leukocytes the help they need to wipe out what sounds like a raging infection. Men certainly do get UTIs!!! My son is 31. A few weeks back he ended up being cathed at a stat care when he couldn't void at all.
Avatar m tn That cranberry juice remedy has been debunked many times. It cannot raise the pH of our urine high enough to make a difference with infection. High fever, cloudy urine, blood in the urine, flank pain -- all signs of a kidney infection. Risk factors for kidney disease: diabetes, hypertension, family history, cardiovascular disease, age (over 60), UTI, obesity. African Americans are 3 times more likely to develop kidney disease. Kidney disease is a silent killer.
Avatar f tn Since this time I tested positive for a UTI and had to go on antibiotics, I had a horrible sinus infection and had to take antibiotics, and then yet another UTI...back on the meds! My OB keeps telling me that this is fine because all of the meds that were prescribed are safe during pregnancy (all category B)....but I hate doing this! Has anyone else experienced this?? Plus....i have this feeling that I may have to take the terazol again....I am well into my second trimester so I think its ok...
20853006 tn?1547666489 You need a repeat urinalysis and a urine culture. If the UTI goes untreated, it may lead to a kidney infection. Kidney infections may cause early labor and low birth weight. It is important that you call your doctor first thing tomorrow morning. You should be drinking lots of water. Avoid intercourse while you are being treated for an UTI. Moving forward you can help prevent UTIs by doing a few different things. Eliminate refined foods, fruit juices, caffeine, and sugar.
5094917 tn?1366986485 Hope its not an infection coming along because something similar happened like that with me so u mix salt in my bath and sit there and had cranberry juice and it went down. Hopefully it's nothing tho.
Avatar f tn Medication is much stronger that any natural remedy for both a uti and a fungal infection, but they kill off beneficial bacteria that protect you from recurrences, leading often to chronic problems. But before we can discuss proper treatment, we need to know what you're actually suffering from.
Avatar f tn Stupid lady! The other nurses are better then her. Unless its nt a uti or a yeast infection. Bt idk wht it cud be then.
Avatar f tn It may be another kind of infection. Bv or uti. You need to be swabbed! Its not good to not treat an infection especially while pregnant. Have you seen your Dr for this?
Avatar f tn m trying to get some more opinions. Could this be a really bad UTI and infection combination because of the extra bacteria? What also concerned me was that my first doctor claims she has never seen this before...and isn't herpes rather common? I would think that she would be able to spot it right off. Please help me with some suggestions.
9187090 tn?1406264221 ) till u see ur doctor :)
Avatar f tn I don't think so. I had a yeast infection and uti and the doctor never mention that it could hurt the baby.
Avatar f tn After being treated for a urinary tract infection, you may get a yeast infection, which can have symptoms that are somewhat similar to the UTI symptoms. (A bladder infection is a UTI). You may be able to get them to call in an oral antifungal (Diflucan), which is one pill, or you could use a cream for a vaginal yeast infection. If your bladder hasn't calmed down, try taking Azo-Standard (pyridium) to anesthetize your bladder. It will turn your urine orange.
Avatar m tn My understanding is that ANY blood in the urine visible or microscopic should be referred to a urologist. It may be an ordinary urinary tract infection (UTI) as Mikah says or a Complicated UTI or something else. Take any and all blood and urine results to the urologist who will most likely perform more blood and urine tests and perhaps prescribe antibiotics like NORFOLOXACIN. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I began having constant UTI/Kidney infections and then I would get a yeast infection. I went to the natural health food store here in my town and I was told to take a pro biotic and that should help. I take PB 8, it works great and I also try to drink at least one glass of cranberry juice per day and eat lots of yogurt especially when your taking your antibiotic so it can replace the good bacteria so you don't get yeast infections. Here is the link for the PB 8, it works great http://www.
