You will still need to take some meds for the pain, isnt it? I think you should visit your doctor - he could prescribe medicines which have less interaction.
Avatar f tn Yes, I do use this medication, however my RA doc has me make it up into a cream and use it topically instead of swallowing them and risking stomach and intestinal damage. Diclofenac is a rather old, but good good antinflamatory NSAID medication that really can ruin your stomach which is why they don't prescribe it much anymore. I know it may sound strange but it works really well.
653169 tn?1303446369 I took it for inflammation in my foot. I have a calcification in my acheles tendon. I took an Essential Enzyme with it and had no stomach upset. You can get this at a health food store either online or in your neighborhood. I do know this prescription should not be taken for more than a month or so according to my doctor. So my doc just prescribed Voltaren topical. It's the same thing as diclofenac but topical so you are getting less than 1% of it in your body so it's much safer.

Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar n tn Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids. So, speak with your doctor, of course, but would advise not to use these together based on the provided information.
Avatar f tn Well, this morning I had a lot of pain, not in agony pain, but enough to make me very tired and desperately need to lie down by the time I was done in the shower. Took me twice as long as usual to get ready for work, and ended up with BF driving me instead of taking public transportation. I got it filled and took it around 8:30, and noticed around 11 that the pain was now just sore/achy and sooo tired, like if you'd been doing A LOT of lifting of heavy things the previous day.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.

Avatar n tn Many arthritis sufferers are in a panic over the shortage of Voltaren gel (diclofenac sodium gel) and I get why they are worried. Voltaren gel is a prescription topical anti-inflammatory gel used for all kinds of arthritis pain: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoarthritis of the knees, hands and hips. People who have stomach issues from taking anti-inflammatories by mouth can bypass that problem with Voltaren gel.
Avatar f tn What does it mean to have massive pain in the back of your head and neck that also causes dizziness and slight fainting?
Avatar f tn Today I make 3weeks 3days pregnant my little cousin hit me in my low part of my belly and it's hitting me right now and I'm bleeding inside.
Avatar f tn Thanks Randy. My husband's hepatologist called back and said that it's fine for him to go on a short term course of Diclofenac. She said they wouldn't want him to be on it long term, but short term is OK. In checking further with my husband, the tendons that go down the forearm to the wrist are torn, so I guess reducing the inflammation is important. It sounds like he needs the medication (along with ice and rest) so the tendon(s) can heal.
Avatar n tn Hi, From the description of the pain, it seems you’re suffering from costochondritis, which is basically an inflammation of the junction of the ribs and cartilage which attaches it to the central chest bone(sternum). I’ll suggest you to use some painkillers (like diclofenac) and may be a local analgesic ointment and everything will be fine. Warm compresses will also help. Please be assured. It’s nothing serious and will be okay in a few days. I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone, I would like to ask whether the use of Raglan in pregnancy due to the morning sickness can have negative effect for the baby? Because I am throwing out everything I can't eat, I even couldn't drink and was in hospital last week, and the doctor said I have to take Raglan. I take the medicine now and I feel better but I'm worried for the baby.
Avatar f tn Pain has peaked twice in the 7 weeks, resulting in taking more pain killers. (paracetamol, codeine + diclofenac) however codeine has now been reduced and coping well. Pain moved round to the front (right side) into my groin (also shooting down my right leg). It has been a dull ache on occasions as well as sharp/stabbing pains. It is now mainly on my right side lower abdomen. Appendix has also been ruled out. CT scan also confirmed no kidney stones.
Avatar f tn s all my life for different reasons. I also have a long history of allergies in my life (rhinitis, latex, dog and cat hair, contact and atopic dermatitis) and my grandmother was allergic to basically 90% of all drugs. A couple of weeks weeks ago, I was feeling unwell, so I took 600mg of ibuprofen and something for the fever (I don't really remember what it was) twice a day for a week and then went to the doctor because I was not getting better.
681148 tn?1437661591 I have used the baking soda and water in the past. Not something I want to use too much for lots of reasons. Occasionally, not regularly. I have GERD, so the baking soda and water trick actually aggravated the GERD a few times as well. I have discovered that sparkling water does seem to help some. Pepto Bismal is too nasty for me to use. It makes nausea worse. Plus, I have IBS-C, so anti-diarrheal meds aren't a good idea for me anyway.
