The only way to accurate determine the gender of the baby is with an ultrasound or sample of DNA (from amniocentesis). Gender tests work based on how acidic your urine is and turn a certain color based on that value. Urine acidity is related to what you eat/drink and is completely unrelated to gender of your baby.

Look up the baking soda gender test. I don't know how accurate it is, but sounds like most peoples were right.

yeahhh, I wouldn't do that.. plus, from what I learned in college.. there's no "test" other than a blood test that can determine the sex of the baby without an ultrasound. baking powder, bleach, etc. none of that has anything that can detect the male or female hormone from you baby.. I'm super anxious too!! lol BUT I'm not wasting my time with those things.. good luck!!

How many of you got the blood test to determine the baby's gender? Is it accurate? I am 10 weeks and my doctor send me to get the blood test in two more weeks, she said it is to determine e if my baby has down syndrome and also can determine the sex of the baby, she said is a new test, do I wondering if someone else had it before? Usually 20 weeks is when her doctor should tell her but you can go and pay at another place and they usually do it 14 weeks or later she can have a blood test done to determine and she can do that anytime now but that will also be out of pocket

I know you can ask for blood work to determine the gender, I THINK they can do that around 12 or 13 weeks but when I asked my doctor to do it he said it's not always accurate and wouldn't do it

I think it's a scam, too. Doctors who've reviewed it said there's no way to determine gender using a urine test. Plus, $30-40 is A LOT of money!!! I'd rather spend it on baby stuff.
