they were all urine test i used FRER test i hope i get a blood test at the docs monday to confirm im just so worried but i know its best to loose it this early at 6 weeks than for it to a stillbirth again i just want this so bad im really upset its going to be really hard to wait on the other test

I use the strips all the time myself and I know just what you mean about the darkly colored urine affecting things. But if you really did have something wrong like a gallstone or other bile blockage, then the urine test will remain constant in showing the problem on repeated tests. If you didn't have the strip stored properly, the testing chemicals on the strip will become compromised/contaminated and will give you the crazy results.

Hey ladies, The dh and I are planning on ttc in the near future (hopefuly) and I was just wondering if anyone has use the preg strips from the net and if so how well did they work?? Would you use them again?

The one thing that I am currently fearing is a nsu/ngu. I have been using home uti test strips to determine whether I have any white blood cells in urine. None have come back positive but some have some back with a "trace" of wbc. Whatever that means. What are chances this is nsu? If it is, will it go away on its own? What type of testing should be done to confirm status? Is my wife at risk if there is not clamydia or gonnorhea? Any help would be great.

I again bought urine strips that detect blood only, and the strips shows non-hemolyzed trace only after drinking beer or coffee. If I drink a glass of water with a tsp of baking soda, the test strips come out negative. I guess my question is "is it harmful to drink a glass of baking soda water daily?", or should I return to the doctor and go thru kidney x-rays, cystoscopy, etc again? I really hate to give up my coffe ...

you had a period in dec after condom broke in nov,so no pregnancy there.dont use strips invest in a descent test.or ask doctor for blood test.

The test strips that I use are 10LG Parameter Urine Reagent Strips which can be bought on line at a reasonable price. These strips detect Leukocytes, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, Protein, pH, Blood, Specific Gravity, Ketone, Bilirubin, Glucose. You can get strips that detect less. The one that would be of interest if someone is suffering from dehydration is the Specific Gravity reading.

I went to the dr this morning and the did a pee pregnancy test and it was negative. ( they use the strips.) I had 6 positive test at home! 1 walgreens digital, 2 clear clue digitals, and 3 dollar tree test. They took blood and I will not get that back until Monday. I read online that the strips are not that great. Is that true? Has any one had this happen. My period is 1 day late. So could it be to soon for the strips to tell? Please Reply.

I frequently use urine test strips to test my urine when I feel unwell that may be waterwork problem. Have had kidney stone surgically removed in the past. Nitrite on the stick will mean that it is a bladder problem - usually Cystitis. Positive leucocyte reading on the stick with or without signs of protein, usually means that there is a bacterial infection. If the doctor said you have a uti (urinary tract infection) this is anywhere from the kidneys down.

but if you use PH strips, you can test your secretions...if it is 7 and above then it is amniotic fluid.....but anything below...usually you are safe if it is in the 2-3 range...... Your Dr. can also test this and you should probably call...I had this happen to me numerous times and I was so worried that I was leaking fluid but it was that nice leukorhea....it's gross and for me very wet with some white stuff.....

Have not tried cranberry juice. Got Urinalysis done which came back negative. I then bought some at home UTI testing strips. With testing at home, one of the strips came back positive for trace leukocyctes, slight pink dots on the test strip. Will do Urinalysis again, this time with urine straight after waking up.

Where you take you temperature every morning when you wake up before you get out of bed. The temp will rise when you are ovulating. There is the OPK a urine test strip can be taken anytime during the day to detect when you are ovulating. And then there is checking your mucous. The color change and texture will tell you as well. Why not buy a pack of urine reagent test strips that you can use to test your urine for protein. A pack of 100 strips can be had for not too much money ($12.00 to around $50 depending on the brand). Find them through Google. Then if you see that you do have protein in your urine, you could use the strip as evidence to show your primary doctor that you need a referral to a nephrologist. I like the idea of using strips for testing at different times of day.

I have been scared of ngu or some other form of infection. I have used multiply uti test strips which test white blood cell count in urine. None have been positive, one or two showed trace amount of wbc (I've taken about 18 tests). Would these show an infection (ngu) if one existed???

Ok so i bought these test strips that teest to see if your leaking fluid or not of course i found them in the fish tank section i heard u can use those aslo well ive been checkin every now and then bit its always at like a 6.2(acidic) well today i peed on a qtip swabed from end of vajay to front t.m.i sorry but wen i put it on the test strip it was reading ph 7.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant.
