Avatar f tn Urobilinogen in urine can be a sign of liver disease such as cirrhosis or hepatitis as well as hemolytic disease. Your results are within the normal range. Normal values for pH is 5-7 while urobilinogen is less than 17 Umol/L. However, these values differ from one laboratory to another. It is best that you discuss the results with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn hi all, i have no experience with kidneys tests and since i take an antiviral which can damage kidneys and i found albumine in urine in last test i ask if results are very bad or it can be normal to detect some from time to time albumine in urine 3mg/dl (0-2) cystatin C 0.98 (0.56-0.95) after i took an antibiotic in feb 2015 my creatinine clearance lowered to 88-90 (min 80) and creatinine got higher to 1.1-1.2 (before 0.8-0.9).
Avatar f tn I had a 24 hour creatinine clearance test done and it showed 2 abnormal results: a high creatinine clearance of 145.7 (I am a 37 y.o. F) and the other was " UR PROTEIN, CALC" which was 230.4 when the reference range is <149.1. The urine protein was <4 so what is the difference between the urine protein and the other UR PROTEIN,CALC? and then there is marginally high, high, and way high--is 230.4 really high? It seems like it. Help!!

Avatar f tn I just got my blood test results and my thyroid values are totally out of range as follows: TSH 0.019 TPO 6500 Free T4 3.18 T4 Thyroxine 21.3 Total T3 296 Free T3 9.2 Thyroglobuline Autoantibodies 32 I have Hashimoto and my endocrinologist told me during the past year not to worry about my high TPO (1147 thru 2168) unless it was over 5,000. Should I worry now that is 6500? How can it be lowered?
Avatar m tn On the 11 February 2010 - I went for a full STD test 8 months post a relationship breakup. All STD results were negative apart from my Herpes Type 2 PCR by Urine Test. I have never had physical symptoms of Genital Herpes, even though I have suffered from oral cold sores for as long as I can remember.
Avatar m tn Hi, Urine test showed normal results, minimal protein, white blood cells and red blood cells. This rules out presence of infection or proteinuria. Your 24 hour collection shows normal amount of 1700 ml (Normal volume 800-2000 ml). However, the normal values of albumin in 24 hours is less than 30 milligrams (mg). When your kidneys do not work well and leak between 165 and 300 mg of albumin in 24 hours, your doctor may check your urine more often to watch for kidney damage.
Avatar m tn Hi, You have very mildly elevated bilirubin which may not be significant since other test results are normal. You also do not have any symptoms or signs suggestive of hepatitis. It can just be a lab error. Stop worrying. If you are anxious you may take up serum bilirubin test after a month and check. It is suggested to consult your doctor for more queries and assistance. I hope it helps. Best wishes and kind regards!
519736 tn?1253986826 My daughter has recently experianced some hypo thyroid like symptoms. Hair loss, splitting nails, weight gain. She saw a Dermatologist who suspected the symptoms of hair loss and nail splitting to be thyroid related. I have Hashimoto's so we thought it might be that. But the test results are as follows: Thyroid Peroxidase <10 ref range <35 T3 Total 233 ref range 97-219 T-4 Free 1.0 TSH, 3rd generation 2.30 The T-4 Total was not tested.
Avatar m tn Thank you for telling me about the oral test. I did that this week and I came back negative, but I wouldn't have known about it if you didn't tell me!
Avatar f tn The most commonly used test, HerpeSelect HSV-2 Elisa might be falsely positive at low index values (1.1–3.5) (334-336). Such low values should be confirmed with another test, such as Biokit or the Western blot (337)." You can try another IgG, but it may just give you the same result. There is no right or wrong answer. It's entirely up to you.
541196 tn?1293552936 s really significative (may need to repeat later), HDL is the good cholesterol, so not to worry. When you look at lab results there are other normal values that can exclude liver pathologies, renal problems (your creatinine in serum is ok, urea too???) etc, and never forget the symptoms…...to what I can see you can trust your doctor.
Avatar m tn I am almost 61 years old male living in Canada. I have regular PSA screening test done since I was 47 and mostly my values have been around .4 to .59. In 2018 the value was .5 and then in 2021 it was .99 (<3.5) at the age of 58. In between 2018-2021 I could not get it done due to COVID. Do you think a change of .5 to .99 ( still <1.0) in 3 years is a significant change? I am due for another test in a couple of weeks.
953918 tn?1246380683 dear doctor, you commented well on my querry of july 3rd on prostatomegaly yet I wish to request you to compare my test results with that of normal values assigned to them and suggest if there is any abnormality in any of my organ.
1177879 tn?1266463468 And, if the test was a liver panel or liver function test or comprehensive metabolic panel those tests would not reveal the presence or absence of hepatitis C. Does the report give you the name of the test that was run?
Avatar f tn These are the results of my initial test after a routine exam revealed that my thyroid is enlarged. Ultrasound showed nodules, which will be biopsied in a couple weeks. Meanwhile, I've been doing some research and while these numbers are normal (except the FT3, which is close enough not to matter, according to my PCP), they're all on the low side of the range. 3rd Gen TSH -- 0.587 (0.358-3.74 mclU/ml) FT3 -- 2.3 (2.4-4.2 pGm/ml) T4 Free -- 0.92 (0.66-1.
Avatar n tn Test strips that change color to reveal the amount of a substance in a liquid (for example, sugar in urine, ketones in urine, certain meds/drugs in urine, high-school "litmus paper" tests for the amount of acid or base), give a general indication of how much of that substance is present in the liquid. The tests that give an exact number (such as a modern blood sugar meter) gives a more precise indication.
