Around two months ago I started seeing a nephrologist to see if the blood is coming from the kidneys, and around the same time my UA test started showing protein in my urine. Bellow are the results of my last UA and a 24hr urine protein. With this results, Is the protein in my urine secondary to the gross hematuria or am I having protein in my urine because some how my kidneys are not working right???

As far as I know, a normal kidney function doesn't rule out kidney diseases. Actually kidney function will remain in the normal range until most of the kidney function is lost. Lots of people with kidney problems only have RBC and protein in their urine in the early stages.
I recently got my urine test done with the military and they sent me a letter asking for a family doctor to re-interpret the results and/or do a new urine test. On the info sheet, 3 lines were highlighted and the results were given beside then:
Protein - 1+
Ketones - TRACE
Bilirubin - 2+

The other test you have looks like a urinalysis( test for the urine) you have blood in your urine but only BLD + 5 UL.
My father is hiding it from us, I donot know what is the reason behind this but being his son I want to know the reality please help me out so that I can inform it to other family members before its too late please for GOD sake help me out. In my urine routine test i found Occessional RBCs and occult blood. I diid other tests like Himogram,Urine crtena,24 hr protein. All test found normal.

He also has high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. He has been having kidney test ran that I belive are the BUN. Anyway, over the past 5-6 years the result has been holding steady at 55. Last month it had decreased to 42. Last week the results were 77. I am very alarmed by these numbers as several years ago the doctor told me that the kidney function had been holding steady at 55 and that was about 35% kidney function. My question is how bad is 77?
After delievery, I began seeking answers and consistently throughout the years I ahve had a urinalysis completed, same results, no symptoms, no pain. I have completed dozens and dozens of every type urine test known, CT Scans, IVPs, 2 kidney biopsies, several cystoscopes, catherizations standing, sitting, exercising and picking up weights etc.....each and every time I change insurane or get a new doctor assigned I go through this...blood tests included.

I am new here and I was hoping that someone would be able to shed some light on my most recent test results. Here is a little background. I am 31, female, and in poor health. I have Lyme, Bartonella, Babesiosis, RA, and a list of other health conditions. I was hospitalized in January for an infected port a cath (pseudomonas) which turned into sepsis. I picked up VRE while in the hospital which was treated with 14 days of IV Zyvox.
i did a urine test recently and the results showed that there were traces of blood .
The result showed 3-5 in range (/hpf) and <3 in ref.range.
I do not know what does it mean.
However, when I see the doctor, he said that it might be due to inflammation of the kidney and he said it might be due to some fever when I was young or other things that cause it. But, he told me not to worry and nothing was wrong as I did not experience any pain while passing urine.

Urine test showed normal results, minimal protein, white blood cells and red blood cells.This rules out presence of infection or proteinuria. Your 24 hour collection shows normal amount of 1700 ml (Normal volume 800-2000 ml). However, the normal values of albumin in 24 hours is less than 30 milligrams (mg). When your kidneys do not work well and leak between 165 and 300 mg of albumin in 24 hours, your doctor may check your urine more often to watch for kidney damage.
I was referred to a kidney specialist who reviewed my results and ordered more lab work and had me do a fasting (food and water) blood and urine test but it all came back normal. What else could cause diluted urine. I am about to loose the job because I can't pass the drug test. I am not trying to cover up or hide anything and the employer won't let me take the blood drug test unless I have a medical diagnosis. Please help!
I was having bad flank pain on the right side and went to my primary dr who said she thought it was muscle spasms and nothing kidney related. However she did a dip urine test in office and it showed a trace of blood. She then said she would forward to the lab further further eval. Well I still have the pain its worse when I sit or lay for a period of time. I received the report in a patient portal thing before the dr office called.
Surprised I did some reading. This test is the ratio of blood creatitine to urine (24 hr) creatitine. Since my blood and urine were taken weeks apart I questioned the validity of the test. I ask for a my doctor to retest me and got and the second test, with blood drawn at the end of the urine collection period, showed a value of 108. I was not surprised there was a difference because the blood for the first test was drawn at time when I was poorly hydrated.
I urinated like an hour and a half before test, then I urinated for the test, and they said this would not have altered the results? Anyhow, those results were negative as well. By now, the symptoms were still present and I was experiencing swelling in my urethra and vagina. I went to the minute clinic and was given sulfamethoxaole twice a day for the days. The symptoms cleared up although I still had swelling.
