I am confused about my pregnancy test result. I took 4 home test stips with in hours of each other and one had a faint possitive, but the other three did not. I have not missed my period, and am about 7-8 dpo. The faint possitive showed up about 2 minutes and did not go away. Is this an evaporation line?

You can do a home test all you want. Just remember that if your doctor scheduled you for a blood test on the 11th, a urine-based home test on the 2nd isn't likely to register any hCG ... if the doctor thought you'd get a reliable result on the 2nd, he would have scheduled your blood test on the 2nd.

To test early it would have to be with a highly sensitive test (First Response is the best) and with first morning urine. For the most accurate results waiting until you're late or already due would be better.

The tests test for hcg levels in ur urine. There is no such thing as a false positive. If u have hcg in ur urine then that is the sign of pregnancy. If tested too eearly you have the chance of picking up a chemical pregnancy which means when u next test in a couple of days it will be negative as the hcg will have dropped again but even then it is still not a false positive.

Hey there! I would say the soonest but not guaranteed is 6 days sooner before a missed period and the name brand is first response and the best time to test is first morning urine.. I would wait till a missed period before testing just beacuse some times it's not guaranteed to be as accurate only until a missed period! Keep my updated and good look!
