Saini, I just got the results back from my 3 months checkup after surgery for endometrial cancer. All the tests results were normal. However, I am a little concerned about the CA125 it was 18. I know this is in normal range but should it not be a lower amount since the surgery. I don't know what is was before surgery in May but back in November 08 it was 8. Recently he had his office cystoscopy (for the 1st time-previously in hospital) and his urine tested positive for BC. Doctor sent him for Cat scan that was negative, but FISH test came back positive. Update: urine culture normal, xrays negative... With the exception of "slightly cloudy lungs" which the vet says may be the cause of his cough. She mentioned allergic bronchitis as a possibility. Everything else was normal, he even gained 6 pounds.... The plan: recheck weight in 2 weeks, and if he is maintaining, then we won't adjust the food intake. It would have been very helpful if you gave us your age and gender. Bladder cancer would normally show up on ultrasound scan. However, the ultimate test for bladder cancer is cystoscopy. The thing about this type of cancer is that it can sit there for years and not invade the underlying tissues. So one way or the other you should be fine. If it were me I would ask for a cystoscopy.
