i got a blood test from Quest Diagnostics, called a 1800 number and went in to a building had them draw blood and gave my urine, i came back negative for herpes 1, 2 and syphillis. i still have symptoms. They said their test are 99.9% accuarte. Is it possible that i could still have something? Maybe something like herpes but not herpes?
the Quest quantitative test was undetectable with cutoff at 5. The duplicate sample drawn for Heptimax was insufficient quantity to use.
My three month tests came back with 13 in the Quest quantitative test; the Heptimax has been reflexed for further testing (although it's been almost 3 weeks now -- I think it's been reflexed to hell...) Okay, so I had a 4th gen HIV test performed post 7 weeks exposure and an HIV RNA early detection test performed at 8 weeks. Both negative. But I am diabetic so I know my immune system has a delayed response for infections and things. So I am wondering if these negative results can be considered conclusive. through quest labs it's test #34534. it's a send out for every quest lab so if your local quest lab is having a hard time finding it to order for you, ask them to look it up under the send out labs.
Hubby will be having his weekly blood test done through quest is there a way we can request they get mailed to us as well as his doctor? your hsv2 igg is a low positive and will need confirmed with further testing to see if it's a false positive or not. We recommend the herpes WB blood test. If your provider uses quest labs, it's test #34534. it's a send out from all quest labs to the U of washington so if your local quest lab is having a hard time finding the right test, encourage them to look harder because they do offer it .
has been an obgyn for 29 years so I do trust him, but I asked for copies of the reports and the quest report says since there was blood there could be a chance of a false negative. When I called the Drs. office the nurse said my results were negative. I am just not sure where to go from here. I have since been on an antibiotic for 10 days for sinus/strep infection. Any thoughts on the conclusiveness of my tests?
