Maybe, but were you treated? If you weren't treated, and had a false negative on the test, then you both are re-infected now. I'd suggest both of you getting re-tested, and this time, get a urine test done. Just don't pee for at least an hour before the test, and give them the first part of your urine stream only, and the test should be accurate.

I have felt that when they inserted the q-tip like swap into my penis to take a sample for the test they may have caused a small cut of the inside of my penis that has never healed right. There are alot of variations with ECG's and as far as what his physical activity was prior to the the ECG it would depend on how long before the test was done.....there could def. be trace incidents in the ECG if you are only talking a matter of an hour or two however in most cases what you see is what you get and something as simple as stress during the test can effect the results...
