Avatar f tn Hi all Kidney function test and urine test both normal. So, my fatigue may be due to dehydration (temperature and humidity are high here currently). Also I think my high level of anxiety playing role. Need to calm down. It also could be side effect of entecavir. Hope my body adjusts to it fast.
Avatar f tn s slightly high but normal, to make yourself feel more comfortable I would ask the doctor to order a metabolic test panel (liver function and kidney function) it will give you a better look into both of these work ups . Definitely get a exam for the testicle pain.. I hope you you find the answers you're looking for.
Avatar f tn So sorry to hear what you've been going through. There is far more than people think to help with kidneys. For example there are many dietary adjustments you can make to improve kidney function. Aside from cutting back on the salt and drinking plenty of water, specific foods will also reduce protein the urine and even restore Kidney functions. The guy who developed ""All Natural Kidney Health & Kidney Function Restoration Program” actually restored his kidney.
Avatar n tn As far as I know, a normal kidney function doesn't rule out kidney diseases. Actually kidney function will remain in the normal range until most of the kidney function is lost. Lots of people with kidney problems only have RBC and protein in their urine in the early stages.
Avatar n tn First of all, normal values may vary slightly from lab to lab. Next to the results, it should have an "H" if the result is considered "High". So check that. Remember that sometimes, taking certain medications like cholesterol medications can cause elevated liver function test results. That's why the doctor orders the test in the first place, to see if the meds are not hurting the liver.
Avatar m tn It would be good to check for proteins in your urine and know the glomerular filtration rate to assess the degree of kidney function impairment. ( http://www.aafp.org/afp/20041115/1921.html) Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. The common causes for proteinuria and painless bleeding in the urine are infections of the kidney/bladder, disorders of the kidney/bladder, benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), certain blood disorders, strenuous exercise and certain medications. You will need to consult your primary care physician for proper assessment.
Avatar n tn Let me begin by saying that I have a kidney condition known as FSGS. My kidney function has basically normal (stage 1-kidney disease). I check my urine at home with Chem Strips to check for protein. About a month ago I noticed nitrates were testing positive on the strips (Only +first morning urine), I had no symptoms of a UTI and I did nothing.
Avatar m tn 2 years back I did blood work to check on my kidney and liver function. The result shows eGFR 93 and the rest are within the healthy range. SP Gravity at 1.020 and no protein traces found in urine. Last year blood check up for kidney and liver (Different Lab) came up as eGFR: above 60, urea and creatinine almost the same readings as previous year but potassium, calcium and the others increased a bit, but still within the healthy range. SP gravity at 1.
Avatar m tn i had done RFT.this test show that my kidney function is good.

Avatar m tn very high protein in urine is not uncommon in late stage kidney disease, if this were the case though and to be that high, you should ahve other tell tale symptoms, I really would get a simple blood test to check your kidney function though.
Avatar n tn The symptoms of worsening kidney function are unspecific, and might include feeling generally unwell and experiencing a reduced appetite. Often, chronic kidney disease is diagnosed as a result of screening of people known to be at risk of kidney problems, such as those with high blood pressure or diabetes and those with a blood relative with chronic kidney disease.

Avatar f tn Hi! I'm new to this group but was hoping to find some insight. I have 2 children and the youngest is 10 months and I had hypertension during both of my pregnancies. After I gave birth my blood pressure lowered again but this past week I have had bad high blood pressure again and went to the dr and he started me on medicine and did lab work. All of my lab work came back normal but he had me have a renal ultrasound today to check kidney function.
5650943 tn?1374112808 Don't freak out. I always test positive forblood in my urine and it is never anything. It could be the same for you. Sometimes it just happens. Try to relax. It is nothing to get upset about.
Avatar f tn Elevated white blood cells may be caused by infection and may be associated with the slight reduction of kidney function. Mildly reduced kidney function may require observation, as well as control of blood pressure and risk factors. If the symptoms persist, it is best that you check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Additional diagnostic tests may need to be done. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn have a urine test done to outrule infection and have your kidney function measured by a simple blood test ;) re the altter ie blood test, even one poor egfr can also be the result of a uti!!!!! you need to show a steady pattern of poor egfr to indicate ckd. re your otehr questons, not eeryone that has ckd (chronic kidney disease even progresses to end stage 9which means need dialysis and or trnasplant.
Avatar m tn Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the kidney function test. Normal results range from 90 - 120 mL/min. Persistent levels below 60 mL/min, indicate chronic kidney disease. Urine samples can be normal. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
