I recently had a routine urine test and they found blood in my urine not visible to the naked eye. I have what is called" microhematuria" This means I have too many red blood cells in my urine which can mean several thing's. I am scheduled for a CT Scan and then off to a urologist. I don't have pain but some people do. I suggest you look up microhematuria so you will understand what that means, that's what I did.
I was to see my doctor today and had yet another dipstick test come back showing a trace amount of protein in my urine. This has been happening off and on for about 3 years now. This got me thinking. When I was a teenager about 15 years ago I had kidney stones that had to be blasted. And it has me thinking maybe theres something wrong with my kidneys or maybe the kidney stones caused some damage that result in the kidneys not functioning well. Is that possible?

They took a urine sample which tested negative for the normal UTI bacteria as well as chlamydia and gonorrhea (again). However, the test did show an elevated level of RBC in my urine (4-10 /HPF). He prescribed a 7 day amount of Bactrim, saying there is still a possibility of UTI, though rare in males of my age.
I have not had any lesions that would suggest genital or anal herpes, though I find it difficult to check for the latter on my own.
Some drugs (such as rifampin) will color urine (rifampin orange, for example), and abnormally colored urine will give false readings on the dipstick labs, which rely on color for their interpretation.

She’s a type 1 diabetic and a urine test showed protein in her urine. She was sent to a kidney specialist who ran test for auto immune issues and they came back fine. Kidney function is normal. Protein showed Bence Jones protein so she was referred to an oncologist/Hematologist. Her CBC has been off except for 1 test was all normal but still on the low end of normal.

Bilirubin, LDH, Direct Coombs Test, Indirect Coombs Test, Anti RBC Antibodies, Anti RBC antibodies titrenvd, CBC, Bilirubin in Urine, ESR, Creatinine, Urobilinogen, Hemaglobin, Hematocrit all seem to be fine, but Haptoglobin is <0.01 - completely depleted in three tests done in a week. No history or symptoms of anemia or haemolysis.
9 days ago Nitrofurantoin (200g a day for 5 days) was taken and daily birth control (Qlaira).
Hi, i had a renal colic and went through a series of urine tests and had a high amount of RBC in the urine. Later took Xray and USscan non of which showed any signs of a calculi excpt the final CTkub (Non ivu) which showed a 4mm stone. The dr.prescribed Urimax and thank the lord, the stone passed out in almost 30days. During which time i also concurrently developed similar pains on the other side but was ruled out there cant be a stone as the CT did not indicate so.
