Pain Clinics differ on when and how they do urine drung testing. I think Sherry has had only one urine drug test in many months. My physician does not do any unless she is suspicious. Other PM Clinics test before the narcotic is ordered and then every month. The contract that you may sign or have signed will spell all that out for you. Please read it carefully dear. Don't be afraid to ask the nurse if you if you have questions or ask the physician.

Schedule II narcotics require a written prescription from the doctor every 30 days and cannot have any refills. Norco and Vicodin are Schedule III narcotics and can have refills.

They most certainly can and almost always will. I will not treat any patient with narcotics who test positive for any illicit substance or narcotic I have not prescribed (the only exception is if they were treated in an urgent care or ED and I can verify). The possibility for abuse is simply too high and if they use street drugs then it stands to reason that they have a hx of substance abuse and bottom line is I am a medical practitioner and not a drug dealer.

who is giving u the urine test? sub doesnt show up in an emplyment urine screen //only narcotics...ur sub dr has a test for sub tho..but it wouldnt be out of ur system in 3 days even had u not used it at all for three days...it takes a while as the drug has a long half life...urine drug screens for jobs test for benzos, pot, cocaine, narcotics (not sub tho) but i do think methadone shows up on most 10 panel drug screens..

t know where to turn to or get answers, I am on meds for depression, HBP and chronic pain, I take generic Effexor er 150 mg 1 x daily and clonazapam 1mg 3xd for depression,3 bp meds, and take 30mg 3xd and percocet 10mg 3xd, I was recently drug tested in office and showed positive for pcp and methadone, I also take tylonol pm at night and advil, they sent me straight to hospital for blood drug test and it come back as having nothing at all in my system but also did not have a list of meds to go b

They will also usually stop treating you if you test positive for illegal narcotics. As far as marijuana goes, some doctors care, and some don't. I hope this is helpful, so don't take it personally if your doctor asks for a urine sample. Good luck!

First off let me say that I've never used Fentanyl ever and haven't had to do a urine test. I do take vicodin for my pain. But what I wanted to say is kind of what you were talking about, I've been reading on the posts lately and it does seem like there are quite a few people that are failing the urine tests with the fentanyl.

When she came into the exam room she said she had bad news for me. I was told that the last urine test showed negative for both meds. Because it was clean, I was dropped as a patient! Our small town does not have a pain managemenet dr., so I am at a loss for what to do! I had a DNC 04/2012 I had some discharge ok..now I discharge urine I have gotten checked for STD's UTI and all negative...I dont feel like urinating its just leaks out with no warning..is it possible the GYNO poked at the wrong part down below?

Generally, the drug-screen test is for opiates. You are taking Dilaudid, which is an opiate. I suspect you were simply orally challenged to test your response.

I am not sure if your aware of the implications of what you have done. It is a crime for one to get narcotics from several doctors, it is called fraud. I am not sure if you really understand and I want you to be aware of what your actions cause not only you but other CP Pt's.

Well I can tell you this, I was in the same situation and took 1 20mghydrocodone because I ran out of my prescribed oxycodone. I was scheduled for a ua the following week (approx 11 days later and they didn't say anything to me. But I was worried cause 1st, my pain contract states that I can just take the narcotics my PM prescribed, and 2, they have a specific test that test for oxycodone because one is a opiate and the other is a opiod.

when a sub doc wants to be sure u r taking the sub/not selling them/he may test ur for sub but even this is rare cos most of the time they r testing u for other narcotics u shouldnt be using on the sub..

I recently had one light up for alcohol, but I have not had a drink since Oct 1990. I guess the test is not specific for ketones. Being diabetic, I was dumping ketones which caused the alcohol to test positive.

The only way morphine will show up in your urine is for you to have taken it or possibly have it administered by staff during a hospitial stay. Why do you ask?

Flexeril shouldnt show up unless theyre are doing a very thorough test b/c they dont usually test for muscle relaxers. They are usually testing for hard stuff like coke, heroin (and its derivitives ie. morphine, vicodin, perks) Your darvs will show up as a narcotic but in my experience it only takes about 3-5 days to get it out completly. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice, should flush you out pretty quick.

I have just been dismissed from my pain management doctor's practice for non compliance. The problem I have is that I have always been compliant. 3 years ago I was diagnosed as a rapid metabolizer (which I've told him), I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I've also noticed that postpartum, I'm guessing my hormone levels have changed because medications that worked for me pre-pregnancy no longer do. I'm still in pain despite taking percocet 3x daily.
