t take the pill because I had to drive 50 miles and I know I could get a ticket for DUI, and he had me take a urine test. Of course, it turned out clean! Because it was clean, I was dropped as a patient! Our small town does not have a pain managemenet dr., so I am at a loss for what to do! I guess my only option was to drive under the influence of narcotics but I won't do that. Any suggestions?
My daughter recently was arrested for DUI...she goes to a methodone clinic every day...had taken a 80mg dose that morning and said she had a couple drinks that night before being pulled over..I suspect she had also taken some klonopin....She blew a .069....08 being legally drunk...Police report said she could barely keep her eyes open and was slurring her speech...she failed all the field sobriety tests...I suspect klonopin was in the mix but she denies it...what do some of you think. .
He was given two separate medications in the ambulance and life flight, taken to the hospital, given more medication and THEN his blood was drawn showing his BAC as .094. Now,9 months later he is being faced with a DUI. (He was honestly not drunk nor "buzzed") Is there any particular drugs that can cause a higher than normal or false positive BAC? My doctor has an assistant, not a nurse, who assists her with checking patient vitals, etc. the assistant makes frequent demands for a urine test...4 in the last 8 months which seem excessive to me. She gets quite testy if I am unable to comply and has left an unpleasant message on my phone once. Today she brought me a full paper cup of water and insisted I drink it. Am I legally required to submit to these tests? Is there a certain number of urine tests required per year?
So sorry it took so long for anyone to post. The weekends can be very slow here. First you need to calm down and take some deep breaths. Taking pills would be the worst thing you could do right now. Hopefully this is your first DUI, and no one was hurt. I know alot of people that have gotten DUI and if it's the first offence there usually is no jail time involved. Staying away from pills and booze now is very important. Hope everything goes well for you. Stay clean .
I have started a 3 month period of having to do a **** test every week and pay for it and go to meetings 2/week with documentation along with counseling and their reports if after 3 consecutive months I succeed I will get my license but "limited" so I can't pass narcotics. Who the hell would hire me with a misdemeanor and a limited license. I to am looking at waitressing or retail but hell I am a nurse at heart thats just what I do.
Almost every state favors the mother, although there are states that favor neither. Its very hard for them to prove a mother being unfit. As long as you can provide for the child, and take care of it then you'll be fine. The DUI thing will only help if it was recent. After a certain amount of years they won't hold that stuff on you. Don't stress it! You'll be just fine!

I had a protected sex encounter with a sex worker about 3 weeks ago. At the third day of my exposure, i did an Urine Culture Test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Test result is negative. However, these few days i am having some weird tickling feeling on my penis. Sometimes, i can feel some sharp tickling at the tip of my penis, especially when i am walking. But, I do not feel any pain during my urination.
My questions are:
- Is the urine test on the 3rd day conclusive?

There is a drug called Bentyl (Dicycloverine) prescribed for IBS that can potentially cause a false positive. There may be others too. It also depends on how good the lab is that is doing the testing. Sometimes there's sloppy work or cross-contamination, particularly in the 'collection' phase.
I'd request a retest.
I've been going to a pain clinic for 2 years,for the last 5 times I have been given a urine tast .I've nothing to hide,but I had to pay 437.00 for the last test.As I am on disability and it is getting expensive.Last time I had to go in for a stimulator check they wanted me to take another urine test.I think that they are ripping me off.
Im in the UK and it seems the first step is the urine test according to my NHS walk in centre but you can ask for the blood test straight away if your really worried....but I think that depends on any symptoms.
Ive heard different opinions on the urine test though, I have been told that its no good by one or two people but then afew others have said its fine for an intial check.
Ive had a urine test and it was ok so Im just curious, as it was clear is that it? am I clear for diabetes?

They are also looking to see if you may be showing signs of diabetes or dehydration as well.
