8748261 tn?1400677893 Your Dr should have taken a urine sample at that appt and tested for infection. They are super common, so I would get tested regardless of where the baby is.

Avatar n tn This may indicate the presence of lots of white cells or nitrites, which can be an early test for bladder infection. Your doctor would be wise to treat you with antibiotics if the dipstick test suggests a bladder infection. Dr. Hoyte.
Avatar n tn I took fluconazole Monday for bladder yeast infection have some relief , but not 100% better yet. What should I do?
Avatar f tn ob/gyn visit I have ever gone to asks for a urine sample, to test for far more than a bladder infection. I would really ask your doctor why he doesnt do those test, and how he catches those things without a urine sample.
Avatar f tn My doctor took urine sample and did a quick urine test, which showed some pus cells, so he sent the sample for culture. To my surprise, it came out all clear. I feel so suffocated of this problem and am not able to enjoy our outings and even at home i battle with this. Everytime we go out and if i forget to keep on drinking water, it starts again. Along with burning, i also feel giddiness and i feel very irritated. Any clue, whats happening inside me. Thanks a lot.
Avatar n tn The most common cause of red blood cells in the urine is a bladder infection. Other caused such as kidney stones, menstruation contamination of the sample, kidney disease, and bladder of kidney cancer. A microscopic urine analysis is usually done to confirm the presents of red blood cells and urine culture is often done to rule out infection. If red cells are present in significant numbers, a CT scan of the kidneys and bladder are done.
Avatar f tn (Such as your ureters (tubes carrying urine from kidney to bladder), bladder (urine holding tank), and/or urethra (tube that empties urine from bladder to outside world) Because it's possible for the tissue of those body parts to become irritated enough to where they start to bleed (perhaps from an undetected/untreated STD or bacterial infection).
Avatar n tn I went to the doctor about 6 weeks ago to test for a bladder infection and it was negative, even after the culture. I had to get up 3 times last night to go to the restroom, normally I only go twice. Just wondering if anyone if anone on the board has had a kidney infection, kidney stone, bladder, or urinary tract infection while pregnant. I have had around 10 stones and I am 29 years old.
Avatar f tn She needs to go back to her doctor and take a urine specimen with her. The doctor can arrange for a blood test to check her kidney function and also send your daughter for a ultrasound scan and referral to a urologist if there is a problem still with the kidney or confirmation of a kidney stone. Stones can be extremely small like a grain of sand or much bigger.
Avatar n tn m withholding 2 Liters of urine in my bladder and I have no urge to empty the bladder. I have had MRI, blood test, urine dynamics testing, and other urine retention tests. I still don't have a diagnosis yet and I've been working with 2 different Urologist. Can you give me some idea what the problem is and how to solve the problem. I wore a leg catheter for 3 weeks because I couldn't urinate on my own. Now I'm doing self catheterization which is better than the leg bag.
Avatar n tn Hi, Urinary retention is a common problem in the elderly male. A stroke can cause urinary retention by altering the brain's ability to cause the bladder to contract on demand. The CVA preceeded the retention by 6 months so it's unclear whether this is a factor. It's not uncommon for patients to have an unrecognized problem causing difficulty voiding after a CVA that became apparent later in time.
1285326 tn?1433024464 A bladder infection could make your penis sore due to the acidic urine. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Don't that that because you are going a lot to empty your bladder that you have to drink less. This is not so. When you have your appointment with the doctor, take a morning mid stream urine sample with you. The doctor's surgery will provide you with a sterilized urine specimen bottle for you to do your sample in. The morning sample is the strongest.
Avatar f tn s ever happened to me it has been some type of bladder infection. One quick trip to the doctor and giving a urine sample could give you an answer. If not a bladder infection, the doc could probably help with other ideas. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I'm using a new Dr this time(3rd child) and at my 10 week appt they didn't check my urine? I asked why, and they said unless blood pressure is high, they don't. I'm worried because between my last 2 pregnancies(the checked every visit) they found a bladder infection I didn't know I had, dehydration a couple times, and protein in my urine(I later found out I had GD). So I worry they might miss something?
Avatar f tn I have a bladder infection, I think. So I called my Dr and told him what was going on. He prescribed Septra generic DS. It made me so sick that I called him back and asked what to do and he said it would be alright to take a half pill twice a day instead of a whole one. This is the second time I've had a bladder infection in two months. The first time was when I was in the hospital. No catheter was used. They sent me home with a script for Septra and it cleared up with in 5 days.
Avatar f tn It could be a urinary tract infection. This needs to be treated before it turns into a kidney or bladder infection. You can drink more (lots more), use something like Ural which neutralises the urine to stop it burning, drink cranberry juice or cranberry tablets. But if you are getting no relief within a short time of doing these things you probably need to go and see a doctor.
8769357 tn?1402719875 So they ran test came back and i had a bladder infection which my doc said it was a labor induced bladder infection which comes from stress at times. I didnt or have not gone into labor tho. Ive been hurting a lot.
168077 tn?1200231377 A few years ago I went to the doctor with what I though was a UTI but when they checked my urine there was no sign of an infection so they gave me medicine and told me if it happened again that I may have to see a urologist. Well that was the 2nd time I had went in and needless to say I haven't been back even though it has happened a few more times. But now this morning my left side is aching and I am wondering if I could have a kidney infection?
