I have had five urine test that showed blood in my urine with no infection. I am not pregnant. I am 41. I have endometriosis. I hope that this has nothing to do with the endo.
My pain is in my back just under my bra line on the left. It runs down the left side of my back and on the lower left. Sometimes I get the same pain on the right side, but most of the time it is on the left. It is a burning sensation. It also runs up into my shoulder and down my left arm.

When he went back for a recheck the infection was gone but he had blood in his urine which he says he can not see. He was sent to a urologist who also found blood still in his urine. For the past nine months I have had intermittent bouts of excruciating pain in my left flank associated with visible blood in my urine. I have had at least five episodes that required trips to the ER or doctor's office. I've had 3 CTs (the last one was with and without contrast), 2 ultrasounds, and a cystoscopy which have all been negative. The last two episodes have revealed a UTI with a positive culture for e coli--the other episodes did not show signs of infection.

They did all kind of test and the only answer as to why I have the blood is that I am just one of those people that is going to have blood in the urine. Is that correct? Or could there be a reason for the blood?
I have at least 3 or more times a year a UTI infection. It will be a batterical infection. The last time I had it they put me on cipro. Is there anyway I can prevent those infections?
