urine infection when pregnant

im 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant.. think i have a urine infectiion my pee has very strong smell off it and i ave a wee bit of ache nothing serious...

I'm 19+4 weeks. I have never had urine infection in my previous pregnancies. I have had it for the past 2 months and now for the past couple of days I'm really itchy down there. Just wanted to know is it itchy due to the urine infection? I have been prescribed antibiotics by the midwife to clear it up. Need to start them today.

t get treatment for antibiotics I ended in a miscarriage I was 6 weeks but the doctor thinks I had the infection before I was pregnant some people don't no that thay have uti it's best getting antibiotics to clear it up I'm not saying that the uti made my miscarriage happen but it can take a big role in your pregnancy

Hello I'm a newbie to this forum, I'm 25yrs old and currently TTC I'm 11DPO, had a negitive blood test at 9DPO. My period is due in 4-5 days, today and yesterday I have been very moody and get upset easy and I am also bloated, so I guess thats PMS and I should get my period soon. What is concerning me is that when I went to the toilet before my urine was very cloudy, I drink planty of water, I have no pain but have white cream like discharge that has been around since 6DPO.

A bladder infection could make your penis sore due to the acidic urine. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Don't that that because you are going a lot to empty your bladder that you have to drink less. This is not so. The doctor's surgery will provide you with a sterilized urine specimen bottle for you to do your sample in. The morning sample is the strongest.

I think Co-amoxiclav is prescribe by doctors during the period of pregnancy, when urine infection arise and it would have some side effects like skin infections and dental infections. Period is depend on the condition of patient.

The Dr told me that most of the time when pregnant u will not get any symptoms with one. Maybe make an appt with ur Dr just to b safe.

Yea urinary tract infection, bladder infection or kidnjey stones can cause blood in the urine. Seems like they would have checked for all infections though. I'm not sure if it's from the plan b but heck it could be. I'd just not worry about it unless see a good bit on toilet paper or it doesn't stop soon. As for the itching try soaking a tampon in half water half lemon juice. It'll get rid of a yeast infection then you should get a bottle of acidophilus pills.

Im 15 weeks pregnant and each month Ive been to the doctor there has been bacteria in my urine. I took antibiotics for a uti and still have bacteria in urine. Theyve sent my urine off for a culture but nothing has grown anytime. My doctor doesnt know why. Is this bad or something I should worry about? Why is nothing growing?

It sounds like a possible yeast infection. You could also have a urinary tract infection on top of that. Get in to see your Dr because if it's both or either of these you will need treatment.

I would also like to add I went to a Primary care phys. today & had a urine test. I was told I had a bladder infection & given meds to clear it up. Will a bladder infection cause protein in urine?? Sorry so many questions....

They can do a blood test for BUN/Creatine and/or an ultrasound. Also, some problem with the opening or size of the urethra or a blockage.

Can you spot if you hold you urine in for too long while pregnant ? Cause i notice that i held me pee in in while sleep i was too lazy to get up and when i woke i had a little bit of spottin. And i dodnt spot at all fir the rest of the day. And last night i also held in my urine and when i went to the bathrrom when i got up there was very little spottin as well but when i pee very little came out....i hated that. Can anyone help ??

that sounds like a bladder infection to me i would get that check out and drink cranberry juice. Are you pregnant?
