UTIs are very very common with pregnancy I'm 34 weeks pregnant and have had 3. With my first pregnancy I also had one. Drink lots of water and don't hold it if you have to go. There's not a ton of room left for your bladder so that alone makes us prone to have them. Make sure you go to your doctor and get it checked out before the infection can get worse. Good luck!

I think Co-amoxiclav is prescribe by doctors during the period of pregnancy, when urine infection arise and it would have some side effects like skin infections and dental infections. Period is depend on the condition of patient.

Then i read in many Forums the women had misscarrigaes because they were afraid taking any medicine and the infection continued and got to the baby which caused the misscarriage. So i took now twice in 2 weeks antibiotics cause first time my urin/bledder infection wasnt treated well. I saw yesterday on ultrasound rhythm heartbeat and child movements i am in my 10. Pregnancy week with e child. So i trust the medicine will help us more then harm.

I finished the course and now 3 days after I finished the antibiotics I tested my urine and the leukocytes/white blood cells are still very high. What other infections/circumstances can cause this? I am very concerned as I only can reach my Dr. on Monday.

She has been having incontinence problems after her pregnancy and asked her OBGYN about it. They took a urine sample for culture and maybe urinalysis. Both came back negative for infection. I was wondering: urine cultures check for bacteria growth and once they find bacteria they do further tests. Now I understand that they don't detect certain infections from the cultures and that they only detect bacteria growth.

Although many think pregnancy first hand, such things as UTI, Yeast infection, dehydration etc can cause this... she needs to take a pregnancy test with first morning urine and if it's negative, see a doctor about other causes...

It is possible that you are not drinking as much fluid as is required for your physiological state and that might explain the odor in urine and you may even have high-colored urine. It doesnt cause pain at all, my urine just smells like a very strong chemical. I am now 6 weeks pregnant and I dont think it is right I still have this. It cant be good while pregnant. Has anyone else had this?? Any info would be good.

I Had that in the beginning of my pregnancy it's in infection where your urine sites before it comes out they will give you some pills for 7 days & your urine will go back to normal its not something big you will be okay (:

Im 11 weeks today and i found out i had it at 9 weeks my doctor gave me antibiotics for it but it just.makes me throw up so i let her know and she gave me some diffrent ones and they did the same thing :-( i have an appointment on the 6 of nov and i am afraid i am going to still have it !! Im scared for my baby i wouldnt want nothing bad to happen to it but idk what to do i try to take them but i just cant they come right back up how will this affect my baby ?

a water infection is very common in pregnancy, and theres never a more uncomfortable time to get one, you will need antibiotics or it wont go

s color is pale and bad smelling also. and i had back ache also. i have done urine culture and ufr also. dr diagnosed it's a urine infection and given some medicine also. i took it for 2 weeks. but the problem is still there...

You still may have a bacterial or fungal infection, so do and see your doctor. He is likely to arrange for a swab to be taken from that area and sent to the laboratory for analysis. He may already know when he examines you what the problem is and be able to prescribe an antibiotic if he feels it is caused by bacteria, or an antifungal medication either cream and or capsules to take by mouth as well if you have a fungal infection. Do not use any soaps, shower or bath gels.

I'm in Australia and yea usually if there is protein and stuff in your urine they give you antibiotics for a urine infection

recently I had a sudden blood in urine and urgency to go but little comes out then half hour a repeat.. I took azithromyacin and within a few hours noticed a dramatic cessation of symptoms.. its been days now and all seems fine..if this was something more than lets say a tract infection, would the symptoms go away with the antibiotics I took..I cannot find cranberry juice here in the part of the philippines I am located, what else is good to clean and maintain please.
