UTIs are exactly what their name describes. and infection in your urinary tract. its not in your vagina, however, ive always been told not to have sex while you have one because sex could be the cause of it. and its best to make sure its all better before introducing even more bacteria. Ive never heard of it being contagious, and dont think that it is, but ask your doctor. and ive also never had a cream to use, so im not sure what thats for.

This may result in a yeast infection. Try prevent getting a yeast infection as they are just as uncomfortable if not worse.

It can have a distinctodor to it and sometimetimes burn when you pper...which could also be a urinary tract infection...you would need to get checked out by your doctor to confirm it and then need to use ministry or another form of this medication to insert in you vagina over the course of a few days to a week. Hope this was helpful.
You could have some other type of infection. It sounds like a urinary tract infection. It may be a bacterial infection on the bumps as well. I would go in and see your doctor to have them test you to see if you have a urinary tract infection. Since it is Friday. If you are not diabetic you can drink a lot of cranberry juice and water and see if you feel better by Monday. If you don't go into the doctor. For the spots on the external vagina I wouldn't put anything on them and leave them alone.
I have a urinary infection and yeast infection, which the doctor put me on meds for. The Anitbiotic has caused a yeast Infection and I cannot afford the medicine to take care of both. I called the Nurse Practitioner and she told me to continue the Antibiotics but it is causing a severe yeast infection. Can I use Monistat to help with the yeast infection and drink cranberry juice for the urninary tract infection? I am approx. 3 months pregnant and in pretty good health.
It is also advisable to rule out urinary tract infection. Urinary tract infection, vaginitis, vaginal yeast infections all can cause burning and itching in the vaginal area. Drink plenty of water. You may need evaluation by a urologist. Treatment will be specific depending on the cause. Your wife also needs to be evaluated. Do write to me again with more information. Best luck and take care!
It could be a urinary tract infection - those are really common during pregnancy. Your doc can schedule a urine test to check for that, and prescribe antibiotics that are safe to take while pregnant.
My doc/midwife just diagnosed me with a urinary tract infection :( and now I'm a little worried about pre-term labor, i guess my question would be has anyone been diagnosed with same thing, if so what was your experience?
You're describing a pretty atypical situation, and my main advice is to continue to follow up with your own health care provider. Burning alone, without discharge, is not a common STD symptom; urinary tract infections due to any cause are rare in adult men under 40 years old (although you don't say your age); and E. coli is not likely to be acquired by oral sex. If the "clear bumps" are fluid-filled, i.e.
an urinary tract infection, vaginal infection, or an infection of the skin of the perivulvar area. The infection could be bacterial, yeast, or a combination. Usually urinary tract infections are accompanied by the symptoms of increased frequency of urination, and/or drinking, dribbling, or inappropriate urination. However, occasionally the only symptom is licking the vulvar area.
She might also have a urinary tract infection which goes hand in hand sometimes with a yeast infection.
No signs of STD but she waspositive for a yeast infection. Could I have been infected by the yeast infection? Could I have developed a UTI? Other symptoms that I had during the 3 weeks included abdominal pain, diarrhea (still present) and pink urine from droplets after urination ( not present anymore) Is there a urine test that covers Uti and yeast infection??
used to treat many different bacterial infections, such as urinary tract infections, acne, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, periodontitis (gum disease), and others. It burns the most after I urinate. But even after that it still burns alittle. Oh and having intercourse that one day hurt. This would be my 2nd Yeast Infection, the one I had b4 was when I was 6 months pregnant. Do you think this is a yeast infection? Is the burning normal and how long will it take to go away.
Get in and see an OB/GYN to see if you have another infection being masked by the yeast infection. Ask why your body's PH is off (get your blood sugar checked and talk to your MD about whatever type of birth control you may be on - it affects the PH). Good luck and welcome to the down-side of being a woman.
My doctor diagnosed it as a Lower Urinary Tract infection and put me on antibiotics for 20 days after which the irritation disappeared. A month later I discovered thrush on my penis head. I am uncircumcised but my foreskin pulls back easily. I decided to go the natural way. I kept my foreskin pulled back and applied yogurt to my penis everyday and ate yogurt too.
Studies have proven a severe urinary tract infection can cause a miscarriage! Best wishes to you. I hope your recovery is a smooth one. If you need to talk I'm here.
Took the antibiotic for the one day (thats all my clinic did) and within 4 weeks had a horrible urinary tract infection - they said that was very common cause you are shoving those progesterones up there and introducing dirt
Hello, I've had a yeast infection since a little after Thanksgiving 2010. I came in a month before to the E.R. at Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA for what I thought was a urinary tract infection (I've had a few in the past and the feeling was very similar.) They took a urine sample and it came up negative for a UTI, I was examined and the Doctor thought it'd be best to prescribed me Levaquin in a 3 day dose. A week later I was feeling back to normal.
) sometimes the infection goes to my kidneys before I catch it. Also in this past year I have had BV, a yeast infection and Group B strep and was hospitalized due to a 6.5mm kidney stone. I have a dull ache in my kidney areas (both sides) that comes and goes & i constantly feel nauseous. When I did a 24hr urine collection I noticed my urine had tons of white pulp-like particles in it..? Anyone know what might be wrong with me?

I had it before too...I think it's called urinary tract infection. It started with itching on the outer vulvar(vagina), slowly you will feel a burning sensation when you urinate with some blood discharge. If it get severe you will will get back pain, usually on the left lower back below your liver. I tried to cured it myself by buying uristat but it does not help.. You actually need doctor presciption for this particular antibotic (Cipro).
It could also be a urinary tract infection but you would KNOW if you had that. It burns like hell when you pee if you let it get bad enough. I had one many years ago when I was a teenager. Luckily it is easily treatable and I believe prescription medicine is the only treatment. Try your best to relax and just know there are many many women who suffer from yeast infections often. I am one of them as you know. Remember, as I said earlier on, stress can cause yeast overgrowth, so relax..
