Avatar f tn Hello, High WBC in urine indicates a urinary tract infection. But a presence of so many RBC’s in urine indicates hematuria. Microscopic hematuria can be due to urinary tract (bladder) infection, swelling in the filtering system of the kidneys, stone in bladder or in a kidney, blood disease, like sickle cell anemia, certain medicines and tumors in the urinary tract. You may need a series of investigations like urine examination, urine culture, ultrasound or cystoscopy to confirm the diagnosis.
Avatar f tn Hi, These results show you’re suffering from a urinary tract infection and you will need a course of antibiotics to clear the same. You should consult another doctor as you need some treatment to clear the infection. Meanwhile, please do drink lots of water as water helps in flushing out the bacteria from the urine. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar n tn You may not even have to bring your dog in for an exam if the urine is positive for a simple urinary tract infection (an infection without crystals). The vet can simply give appropriate antibiotics. If your dog has crystals in his urine, the crystals would need to be identified and treatment instituted. Crystals can be dangerous in male dogs because if they become large enough they can become lodged in the urethra and cause blockage (even in dogs, though more common in male cats).

Avatar n tn Sounds like a urinary tract infection. Call your doctor. They will set up a urinalysis and when the results are in, will prescribe an antibiotic. Don't ignore it as it can progress to a more serious kidney infection. After you do the urinalysis, you can go to a drug store and pick up some Uristat or ask the pharmacist for something similar.
