Avatar n tn The infection can move up to your kidneys quite quickly. Urinary tract infection is not serious in females, but in males it is.
Avatar n tn Go to an urgent care and have a urine culture done. As having a long history of (urinary tract infection) UTI's...it sure sounds like one to me! To help with the pain, you can buy over the counter product called "Uricalm". May have other products avail too...it is a urinary analgesic...it will change the color of your urine to bright orange! This will ONLY MASK the symptoms, so PLEASE get the proper antibiotics to clear the infection!

1451111 tn?1284956007 A test for STD declares whether or not you have STD. There are several unrinary-tract infections that cause painful urination. Women are more apt than men to have bladder infections. I wonder when your were tested for STD, that your urine was also tested? You may consider having an urinalysis run to verify whether your urinary tract is clear. In Texas, where I live, major supermarket chains now have small clinics inside their stores.
Avatar n tn Hi, The burning that you experience can be the result of a urinary tract infection. Do you also experience an unrgency? You should be consulting with a doctor. If not treated a urinary tract infection can lead to more serious things. One result of a U.T.I. could be a kidney infection if it is not treated. I have had it several times and ended up hospitalized for about a week at a time being on several different antibiotics through an IV. Please don't wait, get it checked as soon as possible?
Avatar f tn Has anyone got a urinary tract infection during pregnancy? Was it uncomfortable and a little painful at times? once treated did the uncomfortablness go away? I think I have one I have a drs appt in 4 days is it safe to wait until then?
4251679 tn?1370305531 UTIs are exactly what their name describes. and infection in your urinary tract. its not in your vagina, however, ive always been told not to have sex while you have one because sex could be the cause of it. and its best to make sure its all better before introducing even more bacteria. Ive never heard of it being contagious, and dont think that it is, but ask your doctor. and ive also never had a cream to use, so im not sure what thats for.
Avatar n tn You may not even have to bring your dog in for an exam if the urine is positive for a simple urinary tract infection (an infection without crystals). The vet can simply give appropriate antibiotics. If your dog has crystals in his urine, the crystals would need to be identified and treatment instituted. Crystals can be dangerous in male dogs because if they become large enough they can become lodged in the urethra and cause blockage (even in dogs, though more common in male cats).
Avatar f tn Im 90% sure that I have a urinary tract infection but I have additional symptoms that I dont usually have. Avatar f tn I’m 20 years old. I have a urinary tract infection(coliform). A doctor prescribed Amoxicillin 625mg + Tamsulosin medicine for 10 days to me. I have a side effect after taking Tamsulosin (Retrograde ejaculation) or any other ejaculation problem. Is this normal or should I stop using Tamsulosin? Or will it (Retrograde ejaculation ) recover after stop using ten days? Should I keep getting Tamsulosin for 10 days or stop?
Avatar m tn Sounds like a urinary tract infection. Might need to see a physician to get an antibiotic to treat it. Blood is not normal either. Kidney stones might cause similar symptoms too. Keep well hydrated and add the old standard cranverry juice too! Good luck and don't delay too long in seeing a physician. Emergency clinics might be an answer if you don't have a regular family doc.
Avatar n tn a couple simple things come to mind from my past experiences, have you changed soaps? it might be the begining of a urinary tract infection, that makes the clit quite painful and requires an antibiotic.. trauma can also cause this as well as infection or an std..
Avatar n tn I would def get checked out. It could be irritated from something as simple as toilet paper or it could be something as serious as a urinary tract infection or a std. I wouldn't wait! Good luck and best wishes to you! I hope you feel better soon.

Avatar m tn The presence of white blood cells (WBCs) and red blood cells (RBCs) in the urine can be due to many, many different causes. These causes can include STDs, urinary tract infection and other systemic infections. They can also be there from many things other than infection. In fact, a common cause of the presence of cells in the urine is vigorous exercise and many runners have this finding. If this is a concern, you doctor will do tests.
Avatar n tn Hello, Your symptoms suggest that you are suffering from urinary tract infections (UTI). Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young adults. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever.
Avatar m tn I was ready to move on but now my girlfriend has a serious urinary tract infection and I have been performing unprotected oral on her as well as unprotected vaginal sex. And oh yea i found out that she is 10 weeks pregnant. Iam freaking out please help!!!!!
Avatar m tn The other possibility which needs to be ruled out is a urinary tract infection, prostatitis and also any stone in the urinary tract. Prostatitis often presents with burning pain at the end of urination. I’ll suggest you to get yourself examined by a urologist , followed by an ultrasound of the urinary tract and maybe some tests like urine examination etc. I would also suggest a 24 hrs urine test and a swab culture of the discharge to confirm the diagnosis.
