4251679 tn?1370305531 UTIs are exactly what their name describes. and infection in your urinary tract. its not in your vagina, however, ive always been told not to have sex while you have one because sex could be the cause of it. and its best to make sure its all better before introducing even more bacteria. Ive never heard of it being contagious, and dont think that it is, but ask your doctor. and ive also never had a cream to use, so im not sure what thats for.
Avatar n tn Its more that the one symptom i have been experiencing seems to be less bad today and I was just curious if its possible that if it is an std that it goes away on its own. In no way am i considering denying myself medical attention.
Avatar f tn You could have some other type of infection. It sounds like a urinary tract infection. It may be a bacterial infection on the bumps as well. I would go in and see your doctor to have them test you to see if you have a urinary tract infection. Since it is Friday. If you are not diabetic you can drink a lot of cranberry juice and water and see if you feel better by Monday. If you don't go into the doctor.
327668 tn?1224792350 t I waited a week thinking water and cranberry juice would make it go away. I ended up getting pylneophritis and had to be on IV getting anitbiotic fluids. My doctor was upset saying that an untreated UTI can cause a miscarriage especially in early pregnancy. So take care of that ASAP.
Avatar f tn Has anyone got a urinary tract infection during pregnancy? Was it uncomfortable and a little painful at times? once treated did the uncomfortablness go away? I think I have one I have a drs appt in 4 days is it safe to wait until then?
Avatar f tn My wife has had urinary tract infection since the begining of the pregnancy. Now she is 27 weeks and 3 days. Docotors always prescibed vitamin C until now. She doesnt have any systom. Her doctor wanted to prescribe Ceftin but she is alergic to penicilin and he prescribed trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. Is this antibiotic safe during this time? anyone has had a previous treatment with this kind?
Avatar f tn Go get checked for infection (kidney infection, bladder infection, urinary tract infection, etc), and get them to put you on antibiotics. If your urine comes back clean (no infection present), you need to get a referral to a urologist and get them to work you up. Your GP should be able to tell you whether or not you have an infection. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Do you pee after sex?
Avatar n tn You may not even have to bring your dog in for an exam if the urine is positive for a simple urinary tract infection (an infection without crystals). The vet can simply give appropriate antibiotics. If your dog has crystals in his urine, the crystals would need to be identified and treatment instituted. Crystals can be dangerous in male dogs because if they become large enough they can become lodged in the urethra and cause blockage (even in dogs, though more common in male cats).
Avatar m tn s going on with my body! About two weeks ago I got a urinary tract infection (ouch) after having had sex with my boyfriend. I've had one before so I stocked up on cranberry juice and uti pills- the whole 9 yards. That painful ordeal went on for about 2 days and then the clouds parted and the sun came through- it went away! But (yes the big but!
Avatar f tn A urinary tract infection may resolve on its own, or at least become encapsulated and go into remission, but the possibility is there for the infection to migrate to the bloodstream. There is usually a co-factor, such as a depressed immune system. Bear in mind that a urinary tract infection may result from any one of several varieties of bacteria. Some of these critters are more dangerous than others.
Avatar f tn Im 90% sure that I have a urinary tract infection but I have additional symptoms that I dont usually have. My partner and I had sex several nights ago and I developed the usual symptoms: painful urination general discomfort frequent urination urine is cloudy and pink What is unusual is that I have clumps of something when I pee. They are pinkish is this a possible symptom that will pass just like the others?
Avatar n tn Ive had a urinary tract infection for going on 6 weeks now. Ive been treated over and over and nothing seems to be getting rid of it. I dont have a regular dr so I am relying on trips to the er to help me. I am now so sick with the infection that I am throwing up and am in so much pain. I have a very serious history of kidney stones as well which doesnt help much either. I just had my last stone removed about 3 weeks ago.
Avatar f tn the UTI will go away with proper antibiotics and a sinus infection will probably just fade off on its own and allergies, well they're allergies!
Avatar f tn It's probably just a urinary tract infection. Very common. Antibiotics will clear it up in no time. Relax. Getting worked up about it isn't going to solve anything.
Avatar f tn My doc/midwife just diagnosed me with a urinary tract infection :( and now I'm a little worried about pre-term labor, i guess my question would be has anyone been diagnosed with same thing, if so what was your experience?
598126 tn?1219654712 As I did it was burning and it still is a little its been about 20 mintues. I think it could be a bladder infection or a urinary tract infection anyone else had this happen to them?
