I can understand your situation. Urinary tract infections are common in children. The usual approach is to treat the child first and obtain imaging studies of the urinary tract. Following birth, heavy colonisation with aerobic bacteria normally becomes established in both sexes. Because of the shorter length of the urethra in females there is a greater chance of getting urinary tract infection due to contamination from the anus.
I have treated him with an anti fungal and anti bacterial cream 3x day, so the infection has gone, but the foreskin still does not retract without effort, and then only in a warm bath does it retract a little.

This susceptibility decreases with age as the length of the ureters increases as the children grow. In children under the age of 1 year with a urinary tract infection, 70% will have VUR. This number decreases to 15% by the age of 12.
Sex
Although VUR is more common in males antenatally, in later life there is a definite female preponderance with 85% of cases being female.
Medical Treatment
Medical treatment entails low dose antibiotic prophylaxis until resolution of VUR occurs.
Had a call from my midwife today to let me know the results of my urine test and they show I have a urinary tract infection (UTI). I've had no symptoms but she said I need some antibiotics. Has this happened to anyone else, should I be worried?
The commonest one is the reimplantation surgery. In this, the ureter is moved and is placed in the bladder in a way that it gets the muscular support and the reflux is minimal. The ureter is angulated also which doesn’t allow the urine to go back. My lab tests reveal a small amount of Bilirubin in urine and a slightly elevated bilirubin in blood. ALT/AST ok so far and seemingly no liver aches yet.

You may need a series of investigations like urine examination, urine culture, ultrasound or cystoscopy to confirm the diagnosis. Please consult a urologist and get it done.

Im 90% sure that I have a urinary tract infection but I have additional symptoms that I dont usually have.
My partner and I had sex several nights ago and I developed the usual symptoms:

general discomfort
frequent urination
urine is cloudy and pink
What is unusual is that I have clumps of something when I pee. They are pinkish is this a possible symptom that will pass just like the others?
i have been constantly suffering with urinary infection, pain on the lower side of my left abdomen, feel my tummy getting puffed up and pain unbearable. Want to often pass urine. what could be the reason? i have done an ult and they say that the urine is not flowing completely out of my bladder, some is still standing in the bladder. Consulted my doctor and they say that a surgery is required, do u think i really need one and does a Neurologist perform such a surgery?
