read y.day and found out the pain after sex especially during urination is urinary track infection common in about 50% of women caused by bacteria agitated due to the movement of the penis in vagina. also caused by wiping back to front, not taking too much water and can be cured by anti bacterial medication, prevented by washing before and after sex, drinking water etc.
Hi there i have developed urinary pain recently, I have protected sex on a irregular basis although that does not eliminate the threat of STDs, I am quite positive its a bacterial infection, can you please offer your opinions!
Hi, The lower back pain and the stomach pain can accompany the infection as well the drugs that are being given and it appears there are no cause to worry. You may take a second opinion if you think that this may deserve it.
I have had two UTI back to back. Both were treated with generic cipro. Within 24 hours the symptoms come back. My doctor never send out the urine to be culture so now the antibiotics are interfering with the culture results. I'm now on bactrin. Isn't that similar and not as strong as the cipro. If the cipro didn't work shouldn't he have tried something completely different. Been sick and lots of lower pain.
it is not a urinary track infection! The doctor thinks the back pain is because I have a retroverted uterus, and that would also explains the strange numbness in my left thigh, something that started 2 weeks ago: the sciatic nerve is compressed. It would also explain why I need to empty my bladder all day and all night, even though I am still early in my pregnancy.
For the 12 months in between UTI 1 and 2, I have consistently experienced recurrent fatigue, quick exhaustion after exertion, malaise, blotchy skin, chronic sinusitis (persistent burning in nose and nasal mucous always streaked with blood) skin pain (hypersensitivity), back pain in the lumbar region (arthritis in lumbar region diagnosed by MRI), pain on either side of my spine, sore groin and armpits, muscle twitches, muscles easily cramped and fatigued.
It usually happens when i hold it for an extended time or really have to go. Im thinking this is a Urinary Tract infection. Thanks for reading guys and i really hope someone can get back to me and give me some advice ask some questions or give me some feedback. I am a little worried so i hope you can help.
This may also be an indirect result of the infection leading to pain on ejaculation. In case you suspect that the infection may have spread to the seminal vesicles, you may have to visit a doctor.
Its not a uti and he diagnosed me with a testicular infection but couldn't explain the back pain i've been experiencing. Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I had a cyst removed from my left ovary(4 lbs) in 2001, it was there for a long time and I believe that it shifted my bladder and that is where the pain is comming from. Now I have the pain back and I do have a cyst on my right ovary and who knows how big it is now, it feels huge, i'll know in a few weeks. The pain that I thought was infection was really pressure and influmation.
thought it could be a urinary tract infection, so i took a home test and it was positive for white blood cells, and im pretty sure for nitrates as well (colors matched on back of bottle)..i was going overseas on vacation and had no time to see a doctor so i called and got a prescription for cipro, which was ineffective.
All my lab work comes back normal and negative for UTI, except the PH level I think comes back a little high for her liking. Give the Bactrim 10 days to work, if not, go back. The way I was diagnosed with IC was done by having a cystoscopy done. The ironic part is that she put me back on Bactrim and I have been on it since October 08.
Hello, Such back pain can be due to urinary tract infection, kidney stones or infection, urteric causes or pelvic inflammatory disease. I would suggest a urologist’s consultation for this. Ultrasound testis and lower abdomen along with cervical swab samples may be needed to confirm the diagnosis. I hope that helps. Take care and regards.
Will this cause urinary problems such as frequent urination (I sleep through the night), sometimes burns and back pain? I had a UTI and when I finished antibiotic I still had symptoms. I went to a different doctor who sent me to get ultrasound of bladder, uterer and kidneys 'cause urine from lab came back with no problems. I got ultrasound results back and it shows tiny kidney stones in right kidney. She said they should not be causing me problems. Is she right?
It’s most probable that she may be suffering from a urinary tract infection. The back pain and difficulty urinating all can be attributed to this. Evidence of a stone needs to be ruled out. She will need to consult a doctor, who will examine her. He will ask for a urine analysis and a culture of urine to start her on the appropriate antibiotic. In the meantime ask her to consume plenty of oral fluids. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

The cause of your scrotal pain may relate to a urinary infection. Additional ultrasounds are not the answer. An office visit is. S.A.Liroff, M.D.
After some time the symptoms would go away. I had a bladder infection when I was younger and the frequency does not feel the same as then \i would be going about every 10 - 15 minutes. Now I go about every two or three hours. I was checked for gonorrhea before and the test was negative. Recently this problem has started again but a new symptom has appeared. I feel a tingling sometimes in my penis and sometimes my stomach slightly aches but very little pain if any.

Urinary frequency without incontinence can often be caused by overactive pelvic floor muscles, which can also cause pelvic pain and pain with intercourse, and also the bladder spasma that you mention. Bladder cancer is rare, but can also present as urinary frequency (the need to urinate often). The risk factor for bladder cancer is a history of smoking. Suspicion for bladder cancer is raised if there is blood in the urine.
Hi, Given that your gynecologist has not noted any significant findings in your pelvic examinations and the diagnostic tests she has requested, then a visit with a urologist may be able to help. At this point, a urinary tract infection may be ruled out.You had several urine tests done and none showed any significant results.A urine culture may be done to completely exclude the presence of an infection. If your urine culture turns out to be negative an abdominal CT scan (was this done?
I went to a clinic and got tested for gonorrhea/chlamydia. Both came back neg. after about a week or so, the symptoms seemed to go away, except for occasional tingling in the same area. This has been off and on now for the last few months. I went to another clinic and took a sample to check for UTI. They said everything looked good. I have now had aching muscles in my inner thighs that seems to come and go. No lesions or blisters.
