acne

Avatar f tn AcneFree is a generic brand of proactive you can buy over the counter that uses benzoyl peroxide as it's ingredient. It's very safe for pregnancy and effective. But, you have to use it every day twice a day even if it burns or dries out your skin. It's really the only safe effective way to treat cystic or severe acne during pregnancy. Salicylic acid really isn't as effective. It cost around 14$ for about a months supply.
Avatar f tn Clear foaming face wash. It has an antibacterial ingredient (not salicylic acid) that gets rid of bacteria. Also, Dr. Lin's Hydrating Gel is good to use instead of fame cream, and might soothe painful acne. I'm not sure, since I haven't had any breakouts, these are products I've just always used daily that might be helpful.

Avatar n tn Hello, I accidentally popped a pimple on my nose a few months back & a large dark, black mark appeared. I was wondering if there was any way to get rid of it, as I still have it. It seems to be combined with my skin and I tried AcneFree & other acne medicine, but it still has not disappeared. Attached is a photo of what it looks like. Please advise me on what to do.
1186413 tn?1326730549 I just started getting really bad acne and my dermotologest prescribed me erithromiacin gel. I usally use retinol cream but can't with pregnancy. I plan on talking to my OB next appt.

Avatar f tn Hello, Yes back acne if severe can lead to swollen lymph nodes. Back and shoulder acne are quite difficult to treat compared to acne on other parts of the body. Thoroughly wash your body everyday, especially the back and shoulder part using a back brush and frequently change your bed sheet, as it is conducive for bacterial growth. Engage in a diet that is low in sugar and fat but is rich in vitamins. This prevents acne by preventing the buildup of excess oil on the skin.
Avatar f tn After realizing what I was doing to my skin I stopped using the steroid cream and I am not using make up or face wash, just warm water. I was wondering if I can use a moisterizer or not? Should I get on antibiotics? How long will this take to clear up? I feel so ugly!!!
Avatar f tn Mine finally started to clear up around 20-24 weeks? Still get the scattered few but much smaller. Since its hormonal there's not a whole lot to be done other than regular face washing to try and keep your pores as clean as possible. And even though it becomes more tempting try and avoid foundation and makeup as it will just compound the problem.
Avatar f tn I wash every morning with Neutrogena ultra gentle foaming face wash when I shower. Its kept most at bay. I also have as much makeup free time as I can get. Removing makeup when you get home...toners to balance pH and try not to cake on makeup...our bodies sure change a lot while pregnant!!!

492921 tn?1321289896 I'm sure it's not heat rash it's cold out and I haven't been sweaty. The nurse called and I ended up having to go into see the Dr. I have a rash and he doesn't know why but gave me an RX for a cream. The only new product I have been using is Palmers Tummy Butter. He said stop using it. I also found out that I can't use any of my face products since I'm pregnant so he called in an Rx for acne too.
Avatar f tn She gave me a face wash and oral pills (doxycycline). The pills made my rash go away, but now I have severe acne (maybe periorficial dermatitis). It has been over a month and my acne seems to be getting worse, as well as spreading. My campus would not get another appointment until the beginning of November, and I do not have a car, so I am forced to wait. I have tried mixing baking soda with my face wash and using tea tree oil as a toner.
Avatar f tn i wash my face every morning and night with a moisturing face wash. but only recently i have been getting dryer skin. I have no face moisturising cream only body lotion. What do i do ??
Avatar n tn i have a acne problem what type soap i can use and what type of cream i can use and also tell food treatments for that
Avatar n tn I had this for about 7 years now. I had tried many cream but nothing seems to work. Last measure, I tried doxycline but it comes back after I stop taking doxycline. So far I had been able to control it with Paw Paw Ointment, it's the only thing that has worked best so far. I applied it every day (after shower and before going to bed). I'm still not cured, but Paw Paw Ointment has allow the skin around my mouth to be normal again.
Avatar f tn The dermatologist prescribed first a clindamycin phosphate topical cream, that did not work. Then he prescribed clidamycin/peroxide cream and a face wash, that only dry my skin and did not help at all. A second dermatologist prescribed some safe antibiotics (keflex 500 mg twice daily) and azaleic acid cream. I start taking this and it finally help with my terrible acne. I have acne in my back, face and chest. Some its really deep and leave marks everywhere.
10385178 tn?1409779669 I'm with u..... before getting pregnant u went through chemical peels to get rid of acne scars from when I was a teenager. Now I am a pizza face all over again lol. It's so painful too. I got some medicated acne cream from my dermatologist however it has helped tons in the past. . .
Avatar n tn I went and bought the clinique acne wash set with moisturizer and face wash, acne cream and toner. I used it all but the lotion until today and thats when I turned into a miserable lobster on my face and neck. I usually use the mild clinique cleanser set and havent had a problem with that. Its hypoallergenic and is reccommended.
Avatar f tn I just try to get the makeup off and have makeup free days whenever I can. I cleanse with Neutrogena sensitive facial wash and if I'm extra greasy, a foaming wipe from olay. I moisturize with an SPF 15 before applying makeup. The acne was worse in first trimester and calmed down after that. Now my battle is the darn chin hairs and my back pain while bending over the sink to see them to tweeze!
Avatar f tn It’s burns when I wash with any cleansers, so now I can only wash with water. I moisturize with La Roche Posay Toleraine Cream and Emu oil. That’s all my skin can tolerate. It started to feel his tightness feeling probably around mid April. I’m not sure what could have caused this. I wasn’t exfoliating or using anything harsh. I was using La Roche Posay Foaming cleanser and La Roche Posay oil fee moisturizer (both with niancinimide). I have since stopped using those.
689528 tn?1364135841 It looks like baby acne in a way but it feels rough to the touch. I thought baby acne was more oily??!? Or am I wrong? I'm going to get unscented laundry detergent today and re-wash all of her clothing and blankets. I have also just started cutting dairy out of my diet in case it's a reaction to that too. The only thing I have done is put breastmilk on it which is taking the red away. It's like it's making it better on her cheeks but it just keeps spreading other places.
