ultram er recall 2010

Let me explain better.....he was weening me off of Ultram and I was doing really, really well but my insurance would not pay for as many Ultram as I needed. So, He didn't want me going c/t so he wanted to give me something that was like Ultram to replace it. He told me that the MS ER was the same "kind" of med as Ultram. He said that it is the "sister" to Ultram. Right now I'm on the next to LOWEST dose there is so it is a very, very low dose.

I do not need to get a buzz from the meds. So I have these Ultram ER - extended release @ 100 mg; one pill per day. Has anyone used these before and what about them? BTW - I have cut down on travel considerably but this has been going on and off since April and surgery in June...I have to work.

Using a Fentanyl patch 50mcg/hr for a year or so.......My back is giving me problems and I am wondering about a script my doc gave me for Ultram ER....He says this is not an opiate but I have read a lot about Ultram on here....not seen that much about the "extended release." Any info would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to go down that road if it will lead to disaster (again).

So, I went to the doctor yesterday due to my recurrent back pain (which got me on vicodin to begin with you may or may not recall)..I'd gone to the ER 2 weeks ago and they gave me ultram and skelaksan (sp?)..which helped some, but yesterday turned out to be a particularly painful day to where I was feeling pain down my right leg and across my lower back..

Hey all. I am currently on day 4 of severe Vicodin and Ultram addiction. I was taking up to 100+mg's of vicodin a day and up to 400mg of Ultram at one point. It was nothing for me to pop 10-15 10/325 vicodin or 6-10 50mg ultram at one time. I finally decided to stop this all. I went to the ER this past Saturday night and told them that I had a problem. I was put on Clondine to help with the wd symptoms. It has helped tremendously.

NOW, THERE IS A PILL CALLED ULTRAM ER ,,,,, IT IS LIKE OXY BECAUSE IT HAS THAT TIME RELEASED COATING OVER IT. COULD SOMEONE TAKE OFF THE COATING (LIKE THEY DO WITH OXY), CRUSH IT UP AND SNORT IT AND GET HIGH? I ASK BECAUSE IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THOSE TWO PILLS DONT HAVE OPIATES IN THEM SO COULD U GET HIGH? BOYFRIEND GOT SOME OF THOSE AND I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT THAT????

So I went in for my appointment today and it felt really good to have all my questions and concerns written down so I didn't forget any of my questions. He ended up prescribing me zanaflex for my muscle pain (was on robaxin, but it didn't work well) and Ultram ER for daily pain. I know a lot of other people on here take Ultram, but I have never taken it, so it should be interesting to see if it helps me.

What's the difference between Ultram ER and Tramadol? I've been taking/abusing Ultram ER 200mg. To get off these things my Dr switched me to Tramadol 50mg. 1-2 4 times daily w/2 extra strength Tylenol. I'm feeling lethargic. I slept fine but I'm just tired and I'm jumpy. For those who have not read my journal this all started after being struck by lighting in June. I'm assuming what I'm felling is a difference between Ultram and Tramadol.

But, I checked with our nurse and she asked how your are trying to d-tox from it? Tramadol and Ultram are the same drugs. They also have Ultram ER which is the extended released. It is a controlled substance. A lot of PM docs use this for patients to take all day long, every day. My employer and doc tried to put me on Ultram ER and I refused to take it. Good luck and if you need any suggestions for the d-tox, let me know and I will check.

I was going so nuts I called my sis from 40 miles away to come help me at home I was losing it ( God give her soul her peace ) She came down but I had already jumped in my car and drove to the er by then. The er doc gave me that med they give for nausea and the nerves cant remember the name green capsule. Before I got home I was back on Oxycontin and here I am after switchin to Morphine. Sorry about telling my story lil at a time just the way I am. Will confess more later if I think of it.

i am getting scared. now how can i go to the ER and tell them i took.. 200 mg ultram and 200 mg darvocet.. and a tizantidine... of which only the ultram i have a perscription for. i know i should go. becuase its not going away... has anyone of you had shaking like this with ultrams?? i am hoping its not the ultrams..

I felt this is important to be aware of. I don't recall seeing much in the news about it.

I have been abusing vicodin for a year now, my worst point I was taking 25 10/1000 mg daily, my lowest point is now, taking 5-6 10/1000 mg daily. I do feel withdrawal syptoms, which for me makes it the hardest to stop my use of Vicodin... The WORST withdrawal symptom is the ICHY-SCRATCHY bone chilling constant feeling, I can't stay still, it is HORRIBLE. I can handle the fatigue, the chills and sweats, but the crawling out of skin feeling is TORCHURE.

The problem I have is that before when I was taking 100 mg Ultram ER twice a day with the methadone as listed above my pain was controled, but since I have tried going down on it I have pain all the time again. I was wondering if there was any other long acting medication out there that works simular to the Ultram ER?

I have just been prescribed, Ultram ER, Did some searches and read on here, That it shouldn't be mixed with ADs that serratonin affected, I am on Effexor, The last few months I have had terrible sinus headaches and migraines. Appreciate any info on this!

My dr. just gave me a sample of Ultram ER, 200 mg. I took one 2 hours ago, and STILL feel nausaus, dizzy, creepy...and still in pain. I'll take the back pain any day of the week than to ever feel like this again. What a horrible, nasty drug. He wanted to give me the vicodin again, and I said no thanks...tapered off of that twice and never want to go thru that again either. I'll stick to the tylenol, ice, and that's it.

I posted earlier about a very bad ear infection. I ended up going to the ER and they put a weird almost pill looking thing in my ear, to open it up cuz it was pretty much all the way closed. I let them know I was pregnant and they have me prescribed ear drops and ultram which is a pain reliever for extreme pain. The thing is though I just looked it up and it says that ultram is a class c drug. Which I don't.feel comfortable taking while pregnant. But I am in extreme pain!

I heard on the morning news that there will be a world wide recall of Toyota Prius 2010 models. Im wondering how much money they have? Cause they are gonna lose tons of it. And it will be interesting to see what happens to their good name on the other end of this. Do you have one? In light of what has happened would you buy another, or for first time buyers is this enuff to turn you away from Toyota altogether.

Another recall is Summer Infant Baby Monitors. Two infants died when the cord got wrapped around their necks. However I believe the parents should not have put the monitors so close to their baby's bed that they could strangle themselves. The monitors are being recalled to improve the safety label on the product; there is no product default. Please use common sense when using products that have cords. My heart is just broken for those dead infants.

My question is, I wanted to know how much ultram of the 100mg er I would need to take to keep up with the norco I was taking. Or if it even is comparible to the norco......

I was able to control the dose combard to the the Ultram. Ultram is the same as Tramadol except that you only take one pill with Ultram...and you have to wait for results. While you are severe pain, that is a long time to wait especially since vicodin and tramadol works faster. Since you will figure that out, you will find yourself taking more ultram just to make sure that you can have the least amount of pain possibe. I felt myself taking another Ultram because the pain was blinding.

I forgot to mention that I also stop cold turkey the Vicodin and the Ultram I have been using once a day(Vicodin) and daily(2) Ultram. I used them for less than a year, 8 or 9 months if I recall correct.

Anyone taken Opana ER? My doctor wants to switch me from Oxy to Opana ER and I am very nervous about it. Any advice is helpful.

Ultram (Tramadol) is going to do nothing but prolong your withdrawals. Tramadol, whether it's in Ultram, Ultracet, or Ultram ER, is a nasty drug to detox from. It has properties that make it almost like a benzo and an opiate combined into one little nasty pill. There's things to take that are not addictive that can help with withdrawal symptoms such as clonidine (Catapres) and hydroxyzine (Vistaril, Atarax). Please, steer clear of the Ultram.

He was horrified had mo clue this drug was so toxic On a small taper w Xanax to keep bp down I know one drug for another but it just makes me sleepy not speedy like ultram with the er dr and my pcp I was getting the best of both worlds pain control from herniated disks and happiness that the ultram gives u I was at a point that 30 a day was making me lethargic and wasn't doing whatbit used to I have had a history of depression some shrinks said bipolar I was self medicating with this crap in
