Common Questions and Answers about Ultram er info

ultracet

Avatar f tn Let me explain better.....he was weening me off of Ultram and I was doing really, really well but my insurance would not pay for as many Ultram as I needed. So, He didn't want me going c/t so he wanted to give me something that was like Ultram to replace it. He told me that the MS ER was the same "kind" of med as Ultram. He said that it is the "sister" to Ultram. Right now I'm on the next to LOWEST dose there is so it is a very, very low dose.
783281 tn?1259691431 Using a Fentanyl patch 50mcg/hr for a year or so.......My back is giving me problems and I am wondering about a script my doc gave me for Ultram ER....He says this is not an opiate but I have read a lot about Ultram on here....not seen that much about the "extended release." Any info would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to go down that road if it will lead to disaster (again).
Avatar f tn I have just been prescribed, Ultram ER, Did some searches and read on here, That it shouldn't be mixed with ADs that serratonin affected, I am on Effexor, The last few months I have had terrible sinus headaches and migraines. Appreciate any info on this!
Avatar m tn I was going so nuts I called my sis from 40 miles away to come help me at home I was losing it ( God give her soul her peace ) She came down but I had already jumped in my car and drove to the er by then. The er doc gave me that med they give for nausea and the nerves cant remember the name green capsule. Before I got home I was back on Oxycontin and here I am after switchin to Morphine. Sorry about telling my story lil at a time just the way I am. Will confess more later if I think of it.
Avatar m tn I do not need to get a buzz from the meds. So I have these Ultram ER - extended release @ 100 mg; one pill per day. Has anyone used these before and what about them? BTW - I have cut down on travel considerably but this has been going on and off since April and surgery in June...I have to work.
Avatar f tn my doctor just gave me a prescription for ultram er 200mg and i have cirossis is this ok to take for short period of time about 1 or 2 months please answer was on lortab prior
Avatar f tn I started taking an occ hydro for chronic leg pain and after 3 years got up to 12 10/500 a day,-cuz it helped all the other pains........ My Dr started me on the Ultram ER 200 mg one month ago. I did not realize that it was also difficult to get off of, My initial plan-after many failed weaning attemps was to go ct off hydro and then deal with the Ultram. After reading this site, I realized that I should just get the whole thing over with.
Avatar f tn Then when I ran out over Easter week my Dr refused to refill my prescription. After no meds and no sleep for 3 days the withdrawls were terrible, I ended up in the ER. The ER Dr said yes it is an addictive drug and they were getting ready to change the info on this drug. In the meantime he gave me Ambien to get some sleep and I could not take it either. Needless to say be careful with Tramadol it has a nasty withdrawl effect.
Avatar f tn Help!!! I have been taking Ultram for 6 months. I gradually had to take more and more for it to work. I am up to about 18 50mg pills a day. I tried quiting cold turkey once and ended up in the ER with severe pain, headache, nausea, chills, creepy crawlies...it was like torture!!!! I want off soooooo bad. I have small children, a full time job and can not go into a treatment facility. I just started to ween myself off but I know nothing about doing it!
Avatar n tn There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. ULTRAM ER should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Neonatal seizures, neonatal withdrawal syndrome, fetal death and still birth have been reported during post-marketing reports with tramadol HCl immediate-release products. Labor and Delivery ULTRAM ER should not be used in pregnant women prior to or during labor unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
Avatar n tn I have been having really bad headaches and my doctor gave me Ultram. He says its not a narcotic but it makes me nervous. Is it addictive - if so, how? I am nervous because I just recently stopped taking Lortab- I dont want to go down that path again.
Avatar f tn NOW, THERE IS A PILL CALLED ULTRAM ER ,,,,, IT IS LIKE OXY BECAUSE IT HAS THAT TIME RELEASED COATING OVER IT. COULD SOMEONE TAKE OFF THE COATING (LIKE THEY DO WITH OXY), CRUSH IT UP AND SNORT IT AND GET HIGH? I ASK BECAUSE IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THOSE TWO PILLS DONT HAVE OPIATES IN THEM SO COULD U GET HIGH? BOYFRIEND GOT SOME OF THOSE AND I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT THAT????
Avatar f tn So I went in for my appointment today and it felt really good to have all my questions and concerns written down so I didn't forget any of my questions. He ended up prescribing me zanaflex for my muscle pain (was on robaxin, but it didn't work well) and Ultram ER for daily pain. I know a lot of other people on here take Ultram, but I have never taken it, so it should be interesting to see if it helps me.
214255 tn?1205635636 it did take some of my WD symptoms away after 2 doses which is why i stopped taking it after 3 days total, i was scared of getting hooked on that. (I quit Vicodin 20 days ago). I dont know how much oxy you were taking, the tram might not be strong enough to help you anyways, and after reading all the horror stories on here of people being addicted to tram and the WD's from it seem even worse than oxy/hydro/codeine, I wouldnt really recommend it. Try to hang in there. I know its not easy.
Avatar m tn What's the difference between Ultram ER and Tramadol? I've been taking/abusing Ultram ER 200mg. To get off these things my Dr switched me to Tramadol 50mg. 1-2 4 times daily w/2 extra strength Tylenol. I'm feeling lethargic. I slept fine but I'm just tired and I'm jumpy. For those who have not read my journal this all started after being struck by lighting in June. I'm assuming what I'm felling is a difference between Ultram and Tramadol.
Avatar m tn But, I checked with our nurse and she asked how your are trying to d-tox from it? Tramadol and Ultram are the same drugs. They also have Ultram ER which is the extended released. It is a controlled substance. A lot of PM docs use this for patients to take all day long, every day. My employer and doc tried to put me on Ultram ER and I refused to take it. Good luck and if you need any suggestions for the d-tox, let me know and I will check.
392042 tn?1200844860 i am getting scared. now how can i go to the ER and tell them i took.. 200 mg ultram and 200 mg darvocet.. and a tizantidine... of which only the ultram i have a perscription for. i know i should go. becuase its not going away... has anyone of you had shaking like this with ultrams?? i am hoping its not the ultrams..
Avatar f tn The problem I have is that before when I was taking 100 mg Ultram ER twice a day with the methadone as listed above my pain was controled, but since I have tried going down on it I have pain all the time again. I was wondering if there was any other long acting medication out there that works simular to the Ultram ER?
Avatar f tn Hey there...I have a drs. appt tomorrow to get help on getting clean from Ultram. I wanted to be prepared so I already sent a letter to my doctor explaining everything. I am so scared she won't want to help me or won't take me seriously! If that happened it would kill me! Anyways, I was going to ask her about taking something else while w/d from Ultram.
Avatar f tn My dr. just gave me a sample of Ultram ER, 200 mg. I took one 2 hours ago, and STILL feel nausaus, dizzy, creepy...and still in pain. I'll take the back pain any day of the week than to ever feel like this again. What a horrible, nasty drug. He wanted to give me the vicodin again, and I said no thanks...tapered off of that twice and never want to go thru that again either. I'll stick to the tylenol, ice, and that's it.
5684059 tn?1374435322 I posted earlier about a very bad ear infection. I ended up going to the ER and they put a weird almost pill looking thing in my ear, to open it up cuz it was pretty much all the way closed. I let them know I was pregnant and they have me prescribed ear drops and ultram which is a pain reliever for extreme pain. The thing is though I just looked it up and it says that ultram is a class c drug. Which I don't.feel comfortable taking while pregnant. But I am in extreme pain!
Avatar m tn I'm not sure...Are you tapering now? It just depends on what is "bad" for you. You will feel tired and lethargic for a few weeks. Have you read info on Ultram and tramadol? For the legs: There's a product called Hylands Restful Legs. It's at Walgreens' for sure and perhaps other stores. It helps quite a bit. Hot baths also soothe the legs. Sorry you're going through this...
471344 tn?1228755027 I have read alot about class C drugs but there is so much contravercial info I dont know what to belive about it? Just wanting some info on any defects Ultram could cause if taken correctly and NOT ABUSED. Any reported defects ? Just any general info or advice would be GREATLY appriciated. Thank you!!
Avatar f tn I have heard that Ultram is one bad addictive drug? Anyone with experience with this can tell me about it? My doc just put me on this , I have been on Vicodin for a very long time, along with Ativan, Ambien(Im off Ambien now), Robaxin, formerly on Oral Morphine. Chronic back pain and depression from this condtion. New to site and would love some info from others. Thanks!
Avatar f tn My question is, I wanted to know how much ultram of the 100mg er I would need to take to keep up with the norco I was taking. Or if it even is comparible to the norco......
