About two months ago I started having a burning pain in my upper stomach...pretty high...almost where my rib cages meet. It burned and always felt like I was hungry...I would eat and then within fifteen min. it would feel like i was hungry again. Now within last two weeks... I am having severe pain at times...not nec. burning but pain also. At times it feels like extreme gas, pressure, and bloating. Worse after I eat..but hurts all the time. My bowel habits have changed...
I have been avoiding spicy and acidic foods, however, I had something spicy today, and within the same area as the abdominal pain, I felt pain, rawness and burning. This pain and burning also occurs in the same spot with gas, which seems to stay in this area. This has been going on for 6 months. Is this caused by gallstones, ulcer or something else?
While I was staying in China, I developed some stomach problems such as trapped gas and stomach pain that would come and go at various times over a few years. I finally had a Gastric Endoscope done and it showed a good sized lump in the lower esophagus and an ulcer in the bottom of my stomach. Since I don't speak Chinese and my GF's English was poor, I didn't get a good explanation; I was supposed to go back in 6 months for another scope.
i have always gas problems and burning stomach and feel that it is tied by a rope.when i sit it presses inside due to which am very uncomfortable and have pain also.excretion is not also normal.all tests has done by me with doctor .i always haveexcretion after eating and feel hungry after that due to which i feel very less energy in me and not able to do more work and feel sleepy.

I dont work so i find myself siting on the couch alot watching tv and thats where i notice the discomfort the most, does feel better though when i lay down. I usually get lots of stomach gas(fart) , have heartburn and symptoms of GERD(i take zantac once daily) ,so i am wondering if this feeling has to do with that? but does that explain the burning sensation all the time??? I do smoke about 3 cigarettes a day so anyone would say my symptoms could be from smoking..
It may be gastritis or ulcer, these are actually two stages of the same process. They both usually start wit H. pylori infection, what causes increased acid secretion and leads toward gastritis or ulcer. It can't be said from the outside, if it is ulcer or not - only upper endoscopy would show that. But before this, just go and have breath test for H. pylori. If positive, it is treated with 2 weeks antibiotics. You can continue with omeprazole, but speak with the doctor about it.

is this on your right side or left side?
If it's on your right side... it's possibly gallbladder related, possibly a gall stone..or inflamed swollen gallbladder.. or you might be experiencing an ulcer (h.pylori) which isn't super serious but you should get to a doctor for a test..
if your stomach pain is located central below the breastplate or to the right below the rib.. that's ulcer..if it's on the left side...spleen...IBS...trapped gas... constipation...(IBS)....
t, and can spend a lot of time trying. It can also cause gas pains. Children can develop a ulcer and this may be what is wrong with your son. Giving him Maalox is putting a bandaid on the problem, and you want to know what the probblem is. My son had one at 12, it devestated me because I thought an ulcer at 12! But they said it is fairly common. I think he needs to have an endoscopy so they can look inside and view his stomach and find out exactly what is going on.

You'd need to note when this pain usually starts, if it's after you eat a certain food, or if you even get headaches or quite possibly describe the pain on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst. I hope you find out what's up, gooduck!
This initally had good results, but I have evolved into mild constipation and the stomach distress and gas seems to be escalating again. I am taking 300mcg Synthroid, 5mcg Cytomel,daily, vitamins, one HCL and a Digestive enzyme with each meal. I feel pretty good with current thyroid regime, though I do need 10hr of sleep to feel normal, it takes awhile to get going am, and still feel moody. I eat well, lots of veges , cooked and raw, fruit, low meat intake, lots of water.
I felt like i was dieing and that my stomach had a burning hole in it and gas bubbles were coming out into my stomach (I could even feel the gas bubbles! It was crazy). Fortunatly though, my own diagnosis wasn't exactly possible considering i keep in shape like you do and im young, NO reason at all for stomach problems-except anxiety. So i went to the doctor ive had forever, great guy- very old and experienced, and he laughed and told me it was stress.
Gastric pain is more in the middle, if it was gastric ulcus, it would be worse with acidic food, aspirins. If it was duodenal ulcer, it would be more on the right, and worse on empty stomach and at night. Ulcers often go with heartburn and burping. Antacids would help at least a little in ulcer.
Can you list some additinal symptoms, when they started, any nausea, chenge in bowel habit or stool color...?
3 days ago it was followed with server gas that smelled really bad and to put it blunt it hurts real bad to pass gas and to burp. Been to the doctors but not the gas doctor, the ER told me it might be heart burn or acid reflux disease, but had the test and it wasn't the cause, went back and they guessed again and said it might be IBS or crones disease and must get checked soon well that was 8 months ago and don't think I should if its not serious should I go or where should I go?
