Avatar n tn If I squeezed it hard enough, a very small amount of blood came out. After that, I went to my appointment with the massage therapist and at the completion of my massage, she started to give me a prostate massage (of course it was hard for me to tell her to stop). Long story short, it's been 3 days since that event and now I have pain in my right testicle since yesterday. I woke up this morning and it was very very faint, however, as soon as I started to think about it, the pain got worse.

Avatar m tn The female therapist performed a deep tissue massage and while I was laying on my stomach and the therapist worked on my upper thighs and buttocks she slid her hand up my inner thigh, between my butt checks and grazed my anus area in a quick sweeping like motion. This occurred twice during the massage. There was no other unusual contact or any sexual contact.
Avatar f tn I never had an MRI, or CT scan, but being a License Massage Therapist, I know a little bit about these types of injuries. I can no longer work, let alone perform any light duties with that arm or shoulder. I was once very active and ran marathons. I am sad, depressed, and I don't know where to turn. Is there a physician out there who will take me pro bono?
Avatar n tn The massage was done only on the gluteal region, so i was lying on my belly the whole time. The massage therapist used some sort of an oil in the middle of the session (without asking me)for the gluteal and the low back area. After the session was over I could feel the oil in the anal area as the oil must have dripped down there.

Avatar m tn If you just have episodic periods of stress, though, not a major problem, then yes, but there are a lot of types of massage and again, some are more relaxing than others. Some are quite painful while you're doing them, but they hopefully help with pain control so you try them. Don't think research is kind to it truly fixing anything. So if you want to do it to relieve stress, look for gentle types of massage that do that. Peace.
Avatar f tn An LMT is a professional therapist trained not only in the art of massage, but also with a great deal of knowledge about skin disorders. Your therapist would, without a shadow of a doubt, noticed the blood before touching it with bare hands. It is very thoughtful of you to be concerned and if it will make you feel better, call her and tell her your concerns. (Is there a reason she SHOULD be concerned?

But I give massage in first trimester I walk then through it. Also some massage therapist might ask for dr note.

2065676 tn?1331422440 And then I found a therapist well versed in all kinds of massage, including trigger point and myofascial release. Her sister had been through hep c treatment so she was aware of the muscle pain. Anyway, it was painful but definitely worth it. At least an 80 per cent improvement with the first one. Will get another tomorrow.
Avatar f tn They even have a heated salt water pool and in our neck of the woods that is virtually unheard of (kind of tells you about how out-of-it our neck of the woods is) lol mandi
Avatar f tn Approx 1 mos ago I injured myself pulling a patient up in bed to my right, felt a pain immediately in mid upper back and at base of spine. Felt the same mid back pain after dislocating a rib 5 years prior (same area at mid upper back), but base of spine pain was new. I recovered fairly fast and started back to work on light duty, pain had almost dissapeared following chiropractor treatment.
Avatar m tn Sorry, I ( the guy) went to massage parlour - had a normal massage until the end where I received mostly digital stimulation but a minute or so of oral from the female therapist. I had received a normal massage from her a few times before but got a little more than I bargained for this time. I was just stupid and didn't say no like I should have.
Avatar f tn Yes Carpel Tunnel is one common symptom of thyroid, also many other types of body aches, muscle spasms, joint pain, although it can be limited if your at an optimal level of medication (I have not found it yet,and it has been 2 years LOL although a good MD helps) Try to avoid repetative motions of the hand and wrist, like what we are doing here on the PC keyboard.
Avatar n tn Do yourself a favor and see a legitimate massage therapist if you actually want a MASSAGE.
Avatar n tn I am HIV + and was getting a planned non-sexual massage. During the massage I had some pre-cum leak out even though I was not aroused/erect. The pre-cum got on the massage therapist hands which I didn't realize at the time. After the massage I had told the massage therapist that I was HIV + and they were upset telling me they got precum on their hands. They had washed their hands after the massage. I told them I didn't believe there was any risk to them.
16373421 tn?1447955139 I was in a car accident and have pain in my neck, maybe even where you are speaking of. I was fortunate to see both an excellent physical therapist and massage therapist. This really helped me. Stress now triggers that neck pain and headaches. And when I say neck, the muscles behind my ear go into the back of my head and that is where I feel the pain. For me, it is on one side. And again, it flairs up with stress, anxiety, when I'm tired, driving long distances, etc.
Avatar f tn Over several months Iwe did traction, (which helped aLOT), and my PT would massage the small muscles that were causing such major pain. We did different types exercises, specifically to loosen and relax these muscles. It took some work, but not too much time before the headaches slowly subsided, along with the pain in my neck and and upper back. Something for you to consider, and no matter what I hope you get those migraines under control. They will ruin your day. Well wishes to you..
Avatar n tn I saw a chiropractor, my gp, a physical therapist and a massage therapist for it. The physical therapist helped with stretching and trips to combat it, massage really relieved it at times. Stretching the neck (dropping head down and moving chin in different directions, head side to side, etc.) helped. Massaging helped. Try an ice pack where it hurts. But most of all, you need a medical evaluation that is complete to find out what is going on.
Avatar f tn I'm a part time massage therapist. I do them often but not since I've been pregnant. I will not do them on anyone who is less than 35 weeks. Only being that during a massage of any kind there are trigger point or pressure points t that can start labor. Also if someone has hbp I won't. But other than that they are very enjoyable if done right.
