I have a question. Are drugs in the benzo family ever used to treat seizures? As in Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, Restoril, etc? I have simple partial seizures and was on xanax on an "as needed" basis to control some nervousness about going back to college. I was on it for about 2 months. I started realizing I got less of my sensory and motor seizures which have always been uncontrollable since I started getting them back in 2000.

I still have a lot of years left in me...I think...I want to make the most of them and live lift to the fullest. I also have GT 1b but stage 1. Dr told me that I can wait but I didn't want to.

Getting enough sleep is the number one help in keeping her tics to a minimum. It sounds like your son is on the max of drugs that is possible at this point in time. If you can find an alternative school system for him (some days homeschool, others at school), then it may may help him be able to have less tics. This is what worked for my daughter! yes I did take treatment for HCV. Many doctors do not want to treat because of the side effects of the different types of drugs required for both an autoimmune disease & HCV. Mind did, I have won out thus far as far as the HCV goes, still good on that after being off treatment for a year & half & all is going well for me. I cannot say though about your drugs for bi-polar although throughout my treatment for HCV I had to be placed on heavy doses of depression medication.

first let me ask what is your diagnois? i am taking 2 types of meds for adhd and depression (these are needed) but i am trying to find an alternative meds (homepathic root)or something more natural. not easy to do. but 8 kinds wow!! always be aware and research your meds before the dr puts you on something. drs are happy go lucky with meds when all you can do is either take them or research them.

There are different types and levels of severity regarding Major depression. Sometimes for people with mild types of depression, they do not do well on medication.

There are a multitude of meds out there, hundreds - I have refractory(hard to treat) depression and I've moved over to a different category of drugs called Mood stabilizers, I'm on two and they are very effective. There is always hope - you prdoc may be able to add a drug. I'm not sure why you can't get off the drug you are on now? i've never heard of someone being unable to do so.
